    Mario Balotelli

But we were three nil down and getting played off the park.

    Liverpool vs Hull

It's come to something that I'm genuinely thinking having toure in defence is a good idea.

    Mario Balotelli

To be honest I have no idea if he's good or bad, but I certainly haven't seen a less mobile or enthusiastic striker in a while. And this "oh we need to see what he's like with Sturridge" is a load of shite. It might never happen with sturridge's injury record.

    Adam Lallana

Crikey, a Liverpool footballer with two equally good feet. I like him, I like him a lot. With Sturridge, Can, Allen and Flanagan coming back, and Gerrard playing up front it's all going to improve, I can feel it. This time next year we'll be millionaires.

    Liverpool v West Brom

West Brom will work hard, be well organised, have a game plan which they'll stick to, and be full of confidence after some good results and seeing us struggle. And we all know how well we do against those types of teams. Still. 2-0. Let optimisim rule.

    Losing Suarez

Yes. Last season was amazing, it really was.

    Liverpool v West Brom

Does Sterling need to be rested? He looks knackered, not surprisingly. No idea who we'd replace him with though.
  8. Didn't Rafa once say that he thought Gerrard would finish his career playing up front? Maybe the game's changed too much in the last few years for that to happen though.

    Mario Balotelli

Mario? Mario ... is that you?

    Mario Balotelli

I now realise that all those 30 yard screamers he's been scoring have come from having about 30 shots every game. The odds are one will go in now and again. I don't understand the argument that he needs to play with Sturridge before he can be judged properly. What kind of logic is that? Still, he might come good. Maybe. Mightn't he?

Rodgers slams England over Sturridge treatment

I really really hate him. Him and every d*ckhead up and down the country who thinks he's any good as a manager. What a fraud.
  12. Sterling is not a winger and should never ever be played on the wing again.
  13. He also very rarely got injured for us (ok, bans aside).

Rodgers slams England over Sturridge treatment

Sterling looks shattered after last season and then the world cup and then this season and then international friendlies. It looks like he needs a month off sat on a beach. But as other people have said, players like and want to play for their country and you can't stop them. Also, I hope we're not pinning all our season's hopes on an injury prone striker.
  15. Last season's memories are being trampled underfoot by dreadful football.

    Everton (H) Match Thread

I thought the defence was solid. Erm that's it. It was a piss poor, weakened Everton team and we couldn't score from open play.

    Goalkeepers

Keeper is a word of woollybacks and southerners. Goalie is the proper terminology.

West Ham vs Liverpool, 20th September 2014

I like our new long ball tactics. It's got everyone fooled.

Rate the last TV Show you watched

My favourite telly show ever. I'm sort of envious that you get to see it all for the first time. It's amazing how underrated it is. 10.10. Twin Peaks - watched the first three episodes. It's as sinister, bonkers and oddly "too normal" as I remember. 9/10.

    Appreciating Daniel Agger (ESPN article)

An excellent player. Such a shame that A) he was injury prone and B. he didn't win more trophies here. Did he own a couple of bars on Lark Lane? I saw him there a couple of times. It'll be weird with him gone. And if/when Skrtel goes.

    Boardwalk Empire

He was brilliant, proper headcase. Loved it when he stole (and wore) that hat. I thought series 4 was disappointing but couldn't put my finger on why - all the ingredients were there, just not mixed the right way. Still better than most otehr stuff on telly though.

    THE Sopranos thread

Just started on series two. I was reading how Livia is based on David Chase's own mum. What a b*tch she must have been. The scene with her and Janice when they're talking about the DNR is priceless.

    Scottish Independence, yay or nay?

I don't feel any connection to anyone from Widnes right down to the south coast to be honest. So I for one would like to welcome our new Scotch Overlords.

    House fixy-uppy shit

I know what you mean. But a small part of me sort of misses it in a way. Although I'm sure the neighbours don't miss wagons reversing down the road and dropping off materials at 8am on a saturday. Meant to say, I also had a wood burning stove installed downstairs. Love it.
