    David Bowie

That was 80s Bowie. He wanted to get more famous and make loads of money. Job done. I also love Outside from 1995. For anyone who loves his late 70s stuff I'd recommend it. Just take out all the weird talky bits. Some belter songs on there though - Outside, Hearts filthy lesson, Oxford Town, no control, I'm deranged (one for the David Lynch fans), strangers when we meet.

They're reforming? Not sure I see the point. Didn't Corgan used to re-do all the music himself? Anyway, I like them, have done for years. Faves are Melon Collie and Adore, and I have a soft spot for Zeitgeist from 2006. I saw them on that tour with Chamberlin on drums and they were ace. James Iha had a couple of nice albums too.

Low is amazing. As is Heroes. And Station to Station. And Lodger. And Scary Monsters. It's quite the five album run in a five year period.

Rate the last film you watched...

Fury. Enjoyable WW2 romp with plenty of Nazis and tanks. 7/10.

    January 2017 transfer window

If we had someone fast in Mane's absence we'd have scored at least one more yesterday afternoon. Come on Ayre pull your finger out, the title is there to win.

    *Shakes head* Everton again.

Man City's goalie is quite the shot-stopper between the sticks. Good result for us. Thanks Everton.

    January 2017 transfer window

Never mind all this transfer nonsense, I'm looking forward to the letter of explanation off Uncle Tom Werner or the interview from Ian Ayre. That's my favourite bit of the season.

What do you reckon Klopps note said?

It was the chippy round for the coach home. Can wanted an extra large sausage dinner.
  9. Mignolet Clyne Matip Lovren Milner Wijnaldum Henderson Lallana Origi Firmino Coutinho A nervous and fraught 0-1 win. Last night was a well-timed wake up call.
  10. No Matip, Henderson and Mane is a real blow, they're basically our spine. Last night was a shambles. Hopefully a wake up call for Sunday.

    Football opinion amnesty thread

I hate every other team and don't see the point in a second team. I want everyone who isn't LFC to lose.

    Twin Peaks.

The Lost Highway soundtrack is a belter as well. As is the film.

    Twin Peaks.

All classics. Also love Questions in a world of Blue, Mysteries of Love (from Blue Velvet?) and The world spins.

    Twin Peaks.

Nah, I've got the first series and the film soundtrack on cd. I don't have a record player. The first two julee cruise albums are good as well.

    Twin Peaks.

Yeah, some of the second series was sh*t. The first few were great, and then the last one was amazing. Inbewteen, not so much. The thing about Twin Peaks - the highpoints are VERY high. Also, I've always preferred the film and Lynch's input. As Lynch said: ''What killed Twin Peaks originally was ‘who killed Laura Palmer?’ was a question we didn’t ever really want to answer. That Laura Palmer mystery was the goose that laid these little golden eggs. At a certain point we were told we needed to wrap that up, and it never really got going again after that.” The new series is basically 18 hours of a Lynch twin peaks film. It could potentially be amazing. I really hope he hasn't overstretched himself. Great quote from his press conference though - 'As an example, when asked how he and Mark Frost work together and write the show, he replied: “In the beginning, many years ago, Mark and I – as if lost in the wilderness – as it always is in the beginning, we seemed to find some mountain and we began the climb. And when we rounded the mountain we entered a deep forest, and going through the forest for a time the trees began to thin, and when we came out of the woods we discovered this small town called Twin Peaks. And we got to know many of the people in Twin Peaks and the people who visited Twin Peaks, and we discovered a mystery. And within this mystery were many other mysteries, and we discovered a world, and within this world there were other worlds. That’s how it started, and that’s what brings us here today, and the story continues.” Haha, I wish I could talk like that.

    Roberto Firmino

We're not signing anyone, get over it. Just steady yourself for a letter from the chairman.

    Roberto Firmino

Yes, that's how karma works. Both those things probably aren't helping his form though.

    Twin Peaks.

There might be an announcement about the new series later today from Showtime.

    George Michael

Wham had some great pop songs - edge of heaven, everything she wants, club Tropicana, last Christmas, freedom, wake me up. Always been a fan of his Older album as well. If I'm not mistaken I think he produced and played every instrument on it.

    Roberto Firmino

Says on the Liverpool Echo website that his house was burgled just before Christmas when he was out with his family. Twats. (The burglars that is, not his family). Scum - sub human scum.
  21. Full strength team, depending on how Milner's and Henderson's injuries are. It's a semi final and we need rhythm for Sunday's game. Klopp is all about the rhythm.
