I do like a good rendition of "Who the fucking hell are you" I must admit, and it clearly pre-dates Soccer AM. I for one am well behind this motion. Not sure it'll get past the Hugo Boss gang though.
  2. We can beat them. We've beaten them already this season. We've beaten better Chelsea teams. They're not invincible.
  3. Mignolet TAA Matip Lovren Milner Henderson Wijnaldum Lallana Mane Firmino Coutinho We'll win, and we'll win every game until the end of the season. For I have seen the light. Have faith.

    *Shakes head* Everton again.

I can't stick Dave Prentice and Phil Kirkbride from the Echo, constantly peddling that 'people's club' shit.

That's the supporter mafia for you mate. You're only allowed to sing certain songs, or wear certain trainees, cos you won't look cool otherwise. We don't want to look uncool in front of other supporters now do we. Also, I think ben woodburn would do well in the first team.

    Other football 2016/17.

I thought Southampton were dead good?

Yawn. Fix it Jurgen, it's your job.
  8. What a great team spirit Wolves have. We look like a bunch of strangers.
  9. Shambles. Third time in a week a shambles. Disgraceful. Hope they don't crash their Ferraris and Lotus's on their way home.
  10. The young lads look like they don't give a shit about playing for Liverpool. None of them do.
  11. When Klopp told us we'd see heavy metal football I didn't realise he meant the opposition.

    Snooker

He certainly has his faults. I don't like the way after a match he'll talk about how shit he played, a bit disrespectful to his opponent. I don't think he can empathise with other people and realise that not everyone can play the game like him. Away form Ronnie, it's a shame that Judd Trump has never fulfilled his early promise. I wonder if things would have panned out differently had he beaten John Higgins in the world champs that time.
  13. Why don't we just play defensively, load the defence and midfield, launch the ball forward anytime it's near our penalty area, and then with a few minutes to go hit them on the counter? Tried and trusted.

    Snooker

He is the greatest, in my mind, his longevity is amazing. He won his first title (the UK champs) in 1993, and here he is in 2017 winning the Masters. I don't think he'll ever beat Hendry's Worlds total, and definitely not his overall titles (he's about 8 behind I think?). Hendry burned bright for a period, but O'Sullivan is still here all these years later. Watching him in full flow around the table is something else. Not sure how he managed to win at the weekend playing with that cue tip, either.

    Did Hitler Escape?

An (old) interview with Martin Boorman's eldest son. Interesting. Imagine if Adolph was your godfather. http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/the-sins-of-my-father-1068013.html

Klopp interview / press conference thread

I love Klopp but he's talking out of his arse on this atmosphere issue. There were thousands of fans outside the ground singing the team into the stadium and at kick off, then we got the usual 45-minute training session with no urgency served up. The bottom line is - the squad needs improving. Either he's reluctant to do it, or FSG are.

    Donald Trump

"No, no, you have to understand, I had a tremendous victory, one of the great victories ever. In terms of counties I think the most ever or just about the most ever. When you look at a map it's all red. Red meaning us, Republicans. One of the greatest victories ever." He sounds like Adolph in Mein Kampf.

My rant isn't really against Jürgen, more against modern football, and there's no solving that suitcase of shit.

Klopp interview / press conference thread

Our famous atmosphere is based mostly on European nights - not bread and butter games against Plymouth, Southampton and Swansea. It's alright in Germany - tickets cost tuppence and you can booze in the stands. It's different here - you've paid £40/50 quid for a ticket, you get a lot of tourists and daytrippers who don't get involved (not saying all, a lot do) and even regular fans who you know what, just can't be arsed singing for 90 minutes - and why should they? Why should there be this assumption from the powers-that-be that the fans have to sing and shout to "help the team"? "Ah, the players are playing shit but don't worry the plebs who shell out £800 a year to watch will help". FSG have made money around the world off of our "famous fans" but have done nothing to help improve the atmosphere - if anything, it's the opposite. The atmosphere is getting more and more diluted by tourists and corporate. And that's fine - just don't expect a mad frenzied crowd when the chips are down. And why should they anyway, when for the last 26 years the wheels have inevitably fall off every season. And it's not like the other top teams in the Premier League have got stadiums like gladiatorial arenas - they're all the same. Have Chelsea made it to the top on a wave of Stamford bridge's great atmosphere? No, they've spent a shitload of money on dead good players. Sorry, rant over!

We were lucky not to concede about 6 goals over the two legs. I've never known a manager call out the fans so often.

Another first half at training pace. Must have been some sit down meeting with the team on Sunday. Maybe they all counted their massive wage packets and had a good old laugh about slagging off the fans for not singing loud enough.
  23. We're a one man team. Again.
  24. Hodgson-esque, at the moment.

    Sick of being Fat

Reminds me of the Scotch episode of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace... Dagless: The cabin crew suggested we all go out and club it. I had no option. It was that or one of their B&Bs. I figured it'd be safer on the streets. For the first time ever I saw the Scotch in their natural habitat, and it weren't pretty. I'd seen them huddling in stations before, being loud but… this time I was surrounded. Everywhere I went it felt like they were watching me; fish-white flesh puckered by the Highland breeze; tight eyes peering out for fresh meat; screechy, booze-soaked voices hollering out for a taxi to take 'em halfway up the road to the next all-night watering hole. A shatter of glass; a round of applause; a sixteen-year-old mother of three vomiting in an open sewer, bairns looking on, chewing on potato cakes. I ain’t never going back… not never. Dagless: They want what all Scotch people want: To kill the Queen, and destroy our way of life.
