I think - can't be arsed checking - that he didn't win anything, or maybe won one major, between something like 97 and 04. I guess that's when he was boozing etc.
The fact that he's had to compete against Davis, Hendry, Higgins, Williams, Selby, Trump, and a few others,....and KEEPS winning, it's remarkable, really. It's never happened before and probably never will again.
Is there another sport where so many greats have continued to win for so long? Imagine starting in snooker and coming up against the likes of Higgins, Williams, Ronnie etc - all multiple championship winners.
