    Summer Transfers 2014

I'd like another goalie to put some pressure on Mignolet and/or if he got injured. Falcao. Doesn't concern me really - might mean them taking a few points off our rivals. And when we play them we'll still give them another hiding.

    *Shakes head* Everton again.

I've heard a couple of blues (including one on City Talk this monring) saying "not many teams will score three against Chelsea". You let in 6 goals at home you stupid d*ckheads.

    Awkward sex / dates

This is a bit tame compared to some of the tales here. 13 years ago went to Brussels on a jolly. Flew in on the friday, dropped our stuff off at the hostel (not hotel) and went straight out. We'd been drinking from about 11am (including high powered belgian ale). In some bar that night, ended up talking to this algerian girl (white, like french algerian? she was a translator at the european parliament) and went to hers at about 3am. The inevitable happened, straight to her bedroom, hows your father. At this point i've been awake and boozing for about 20 hours. She's giving me a BJ and next thing I know she's looking at me asking if I just fell asleep. I had, no idea how long for, but told her I'd just closed my eyes and to carry on, which she did (what a super trooper!) Afterwards, got a few hours sleep. Woke up - had no idea where I was, and the only thing i knew about the hostel was the name of a metro station nearby. So got a taxi and told the driver, but when we got there I still didn't know where I was. Ended up walking through Brussel's equivalent of Lodge Lane. I was the only white person, wandering around in smart shiny shoes, armani jeans and a paul smith t shirt with a big British Isles logo on, still pissed, dead tired and getting weird looks off the locals. I eventually found the hostel. My mates had gone out and I managed to convince the owner to let me into the room even though he'd never seen me before. Got a couple of hours kip, got up and ended up going to Heysel on my own (in the year 2001 I hadn't thought of bringing my mobile phone on holiday), which was sobering. Seen the girl again on the saturday night at the same bar, did a bit of fooling around outside but nothing major. She ends up sending me postcards (to my house where I still lived with my mum and dad) and ringing me. We had a couple of phone sex sessions but that was it. Weirdly, she must have had some BBC service cos I remember watching some sex scene on telly and she asked me if I was watching the same one as her.

    Watches

There's a watch place in Old Swan that does new batteries/repairs - it's on prescott road near the junction of queens drive, next to the post office. They even fix fakes (if it's a fixable problem). Well better than those rip off Watch Doctor places, or Timpson's.

    Wayne Rooney

Well, on that bombshell, I'll let the man defend himself... "Unbelievable. What do you mean by that? In 35 years, how many clubs have I had? What do you mean do my methods translate? They have translated from Halmstads to Malmo, to Orebo to Neuchatel Xamax, to the Swiss national team, so I find the question insulting. To suggest that because I have moved from one club to another, that the methods which have stood me in good stead for 35 years and made me one of the most respected coaches in Europe don’t suddenly work is very hard to believe.” He rests his case.

    Wayne Rooney

That's a tight call between rooney and hodgson to be fair. I don't see the big problem. It's not like the England captain is a role model for kids. And it's not like Rooney has a history of sh*gging prostitutes, cheating on his wife, demanding bigger wages, swearing down the telly cameras, or getting sent off.

Man City Vs Liverpool (August 25th, 2014)

Well I didn't think we'd play Lucas and Gerrard together at home against Southampton, so stranger things have happened. But now we might have a new striker by Monday anyway...

    Mario Balotelli

Well three hours ago I thought it was a terrible idea. Now that it's happened I couldn't be more exctied. Football fans are so fickle eh. Roll on Monday!

Man City Vs Liverpool (August 25th, 2014)

I wonder if Lambert will start. We played better with him on the pitch on sunday, defintely gave southamption something else to think about.

    Mario Balotelli

My thoughts too. I dont think we're actually going to buy anyone.

    Vietnam

I was in cambodia two years ago. It's the best place I've ever been, absolutely loved it. Also been to Vietnam, kuala lumpur, singapore, thailand and china. Asia's brilliant. Got nothing really to add to anything anyone's said apart fom I'll second that it's great not being surrounded by english people.

One of the best. One of the very best.

    World Cup 2014

Not really. In an argument between a Liverpool legend and some angry Geordie I'll pick Hansen every time.

    Summer Transfers 2014

I thought we bought Lallana for £16m (something to do with Bournemouth's 25% £4m fee), but everyone keeps saying £25m. Maybe I've heard wrong.

    World Cup 2014

Shearer's been arguing with every pundit the whole tournament. Giving opposing views no matter how stupid. Have the BBC told him to be more controversial, he used to be really bland. Hansen should have told Shearer to get his medals out. Oh that's right he's only got one.

    Goodbye Suarez

I feel like I've come back from a dead good holiday after a few weeks and have got to go to work tomorrow, there's an empty feeling there which won't be filled. He's arguably the most effective player in the world. In Kenny's last season as manager Suarez really was the only reason to go the match. I really wish we'd harnessed all his goals and assists last season and won the league.

    Summer Transfers 2014

Sanchez gets better everytime I log onto this forum. I think if we don't buy him then TLW might explode. I didn't think we'd replace Torres but we did. Not saying it'll happen again but it's not beyond the realms of possibilty.

    Suarez bite v2

I meant to put that post in the summer transfers 2014 section. D'oh.

    Suarez bite v2

Maybe players like to go to spain because Barcelona and Madrid are lovely places and England is f*****g sh*t. Look out the window - it's the middle of summer and it's p*ssing down and blowing a gale. World class players attract other world class players. Maybe suarez wants to play with messi and neymar. There are loads of reasons why players pick these two clubs over others.

    Suarez bite v2

I doubt Suarez torpedoed his country's world cup hopes to get a move to Barcelona. But then stranger things have happened. I'll be sad to see him goes if he does. He's the most entertaining footballer I've ever paid to see and he really lit up going the match prior to the season just gone. Anyway - Sanchez, Sturridge, Sterling up front. Coutihno, Gerrard, Henderson in the middle. We just need a full back or two and some decent subs and the league is ours. Easy.

    Mis-sent Messages

In my old job a marketing girl used to leave early every friday (on the premise of having meetings to go to) so I sent my mate an email saying "why does marie get to leave early every friday?" - but obviously i didn't send it to him, i sent it to her by mistake. She replied on the monday saying she had a meeting to go to. I thought f*ck it and replied saying "yep sure I believe you". Another time a dutch journalist I'd had over for work sent me an email saying how rough he thought Liverpool was - obviously i took offence and forwarded it to my mate saying what a dickhead this fella was. Only I hadn't forwarded it I'd replied to the journalist. HEART SINKING. Brilliantly I sent him some spam emails I had in my inbox then sent him a message saying our emails had been virused and he believed me! He even replied and said something like "yes this is a big problem for us as well!" Lastly, we had a builder doing a load of work on our old flat (long story) but i was sure one of them kept bullsh*tting so I sent me missus a message saying "yeah XX has said he'll do this, but there's no f*cking chance just add it to the long list of stuff they haven't done" - but i sent it to him instead of my missus. I was explaining this to my mate when the builder left a voicemail on my phone saying "actually i will get it done blah blah blah". I sucked it up and rang him, but I didn't apologise cos at least it made the point. Reading all these - maybe it's good sometimes that people know the truth.

We play better football than Barcelona so more fool him.

    Jimmy Savile dead

Is it just me or did the Savile NHS report get overshadowed by Suarez? I mean it did get coverage i'm not denying that, but my general feeling is that if the public and media were to hang someone this week they'd pick suarez over savile. Maybe I'm just being paranoid.
