    Is Klopp another Rodgers?

Scary thing is - Jurgen Klopp has a portait of Brendan Rodgers on his wall at home.

    Is Klopp another Rodgers?

I wonder who we sent to speak to him? Was he greeted by Ian Ayre with Mike Gordon riding on his shoulders? "Come to Liverpool Jurgen - we're all having a big laugh and making f*cking tonnes of cash!!"

    Bordeaux away

He needs to get on the juice. If he was a bit bigger and faster he'd be better. Get some steroids in your bloodstream, Adam son.

    Bordeaux away

Our last decent european season was 09/10 when we were narrowly beaten in the semis to a very good Atletico team (and eventual winners). We've been utter sh*t ever since. Does rodgers send out weakened teams so he has an excuse when we're inevitably sh*t? We're Liverpool Football Club - we have one of the best european pedigrees in football, and it's being trampled over. The owners cash in on our "famous" atmosphere on these big european nights, but there aren't going to be anymore the way things are going.

    Decent Scouse Players

David Nugent Jay McEveley John Welsh Bradley Orr Carl Tremarco All went to my school. Has someone already mentioned Lee Trundle?? I thought he was a brilliant player. And obviously Gerrard, Carra, Rooney, Nolan, Barton, barkley, baines are all recents mentioned. Everton have had a few - jeffers, cadamatteri, anichebi, jose baxter - off the top of my head.

    Upcoming Films

Yeah looked typical Bond. Can't say the trailer got me too exctied though. I loved Skyfall so hope it carries on in the same vein.

    Donnie Darko

Yeah good film. I love the Tears for Fears Head Over Heels school scene, very clever - https://zacharyhaynes.wordpress.com/2010/05/04/donnie-darko-the-head-over-heels-sequence/

Peep Show is brilliant. Crack. It's so more-ish.

    *Shakes head* Everton again.

"the city’s original football club" Wanker.

    Rentboys - Oh dear.

They are a big club. You're deluding yourself if you think they aren't. They'll rattle off a few more leagues and european trophies over the next few years while we're still f**king about fighting with tottenham, everton, stoke and southampton for 5th place. Still, it is nice to feel superior sometimes.

    Christian Benteke

I'd like to think he'll fit into our style of play, but since we don't have one anymore I'll have to wait and see.

    Recommend a British TV drama

Another recommendation for Red Riding. Weird and depressing. Great telly! Also - another David Morrissey show Thorne. I THINK they only made two series's, but it was ace. A bit like Luther but slightly more realistic.

    Higuain is well overrated.

    Does Rodgers deserve another season.

I don't know what's sadder - that some fans thought Ancelotti or Klopp would come here, or the fact that they wouldn't come here. Either way it's all very depressing.

    The Atomic bombing of Nagasaki

Old news, but quite interesting. Nixon Proposed Using A-Bomb In Vietnam War Published: March 1, 2002 COLLEGE PARK, Md., Feb. 28— A few weeks before ordering an escalation of the Vietnam War, President Nixon matter-of-factly raised the idea of using a nuclear bomb. His national security adviser, Henry A. Kissinger, quickly dissuaded him. Mr. Nixon's abrupt suggestion, buried in 500 hours of tapes released today at the National Archives, came after Mr. Kissinger had presented a variety of options for stepping up the war effort, among them attacking power plants and docks, in an April 25, 1972, conversation in the Executive Office Building in Washington. ''I'd rather use the nuclear bomb,'' Mr. Nixon responded. ''That, I think, would just be too much,'' Mr. Kissinger replied. ''The nuclear bomb. Does that bother you?'' Mr. Nixon asked. ''I just want you to think big.'' The following month, Mr. Nixon ordered the biggest escalation of the war since 1968. In a 1985 interview, Mr. Nixon acknowledged that he had considered ''the nuclear option.'' He told Time magazine then: ''I rejected the bombing of the dikes, which would have drowned one million people, for the same reason that I rejected the nuclear option. Because the targets presented were not military targets.''
  20. Rickie Lambert scored 13 league goals last season. And 15 league goals the season before.
  21. You're right - get Klinsmann in now. He can be manager AND our first choice striker.

    World Snooker Championship 2015

Nice one. I never would have backed him! Mark Allen seems to be losing his way a bit. His bird's quite fit as well - sexy chav.

    World Snooker Championship 2015

Murphy's a gent, always has been. Not sure why he's got a bad rep. I was happy for either to win in the end. It was Bingham's tournament though - the semi with judd was one of the best games I've ever seen. He was like the Terminator, he just wouldn't stop. Good tournament overall.

    Does Rodgers deserve another season.

He's not going anywhere. Close the thread. Put away your Rafa mask. (Or wear it. Or make your missus wear it. Or both.)
