1. Miserable prick Suarez is. Didn't participate in the Liverpool team photo. Didn't participate in the lap of honour. If he wants gone then OK but show some respect to 95,000 people showing up to watch you play.
2. Real lack of respect in this thread. His comments might be controversial but he is a former Red and deserves our gratitude. Just kidding. Would rather have a Liverpool shirt dyed blue and used as a towel by Gary Neville than have that cunt wear one again. Absolute piece of shit. Top 100 players my hairy arsehole.
3. Here's Wikipedia on the extent of Portsmouth's debt: Administrator Trevor Birch admitted that the financial situation was "worse than we first feared" and that Portsmouth were "struggling to make the end of the season". On 11 April 2012, reports from administrators PKF has as revealed that Portsmouth owe £58m debt with £38m is owed to UHY Hacker Young, £10.5m investment made by Vladimir Antonov's Convers Sports Initiatives (CSI) remains outstanding, Players are due £3.5m in wages and bonuses for the last two seasons, while £2.3m is owed to Revenue and Customs and additionally, £3.7m is owed for general trade. If the players forgo their wages, that money will be used first and foremost to pay off their tax bill and those "general trade" expenses. That seems like paying their debt off to me? Also I'm sure that their creditors are richer than the players, shouldn't they be the ones picking up the tab for Portsmouth's overspending?
4. Disagree. Ben Haim is from Israel, why should he give a fuck about Portsmouth? It's not his responsibility to pay their debts for them. He's entitled to his money. The twats here are the people who drove Portsmouth into the ground by overspending on players such as Ben Haim.
5. Jesus Christ. People have to be having a laugh voting for Downing surely. He was among the worst on the pitch. 1. Carroll 2. Skrtel 3. Johnson (4. Agger. Very close.)
6. I remember back in 2009, I was hoping they beat the chavs in the final and some other Reds didn't understand why. This is why. Chelsea are a horrible little club. Easy for me to do that of course since Liverpool will always be top dog, so if its true that there are blues out there now hoping we win then hats off to them.
7. For those asking if this was real or a joke, "Live & Breathe" is just the tip of the fucking iceberg. That was in Gunners pub before a game. You'd have to question whether these knobs would be tolerated in any other fanbase in the league. Even Everton wouldn't stoop to this.
8. Fucking legend. Like Red Banjo said, warts and all. He's a frustrating player at times, in some games ruining attacking move after attacking move, but he keeps cropping up in important places all over the pitch. How many times yesterday did we see a Downing or Suarez cross sail harmlessly through the box with nobody there to put it away? And how many Suarez balls through the box did Kuyt put away against the Mancs last season? If Kuyt had started this game the result would have been never in doubt.
9. Oh fuck off. I'm not a manc, and I've read the report and would be willing to bet you haven't. Instead of abusing me because you don't want to face up to the possibility that one of our players did something indefensible, why don't you come up with a reason why Suarez would tell two people on two occasions in two different languages that he said one thing, then claim to have said something completely different in his statement to the FA.
10. That just isn't what they testified he said, though. Read the report. Imagine this was a Manchester United player on trial and there was a basic discrepancy between what the player on trial claimed to have said and what two Manc employees testified he said. Imagine that the testimony of the two Manc employees was in agreement with Liverpool players' testimony on the same question. Now imagine the FA put out a report saying "Yes, but we find him not guilty on the grounds that maybe this is all a big misunderstanding". We would all go absolutely apeshit. It's hard for the FA to ignore such a basic inconsistency in testimony.
11. I haven't read the whole report or this whole thread so sorry if this has been discussed but the following passages seem critical: So the situation is that two people from Liverpool are testifying that the account Suarez gave them after the game matched Evra's testimony and contradicted his own. And Suarez's explanation for this is that two people misheard him in two different languages on two different occasions and that they both misheard him say the same thing. This is about as believable as Terry's explanation of his incident. I would be very careful defending Suarez here. While the report might be sloppy in some places this does not mean that Suarez is not guilty. If Evra's story is largely true it is pretty unacceptable.
12. Every time someone refers to Bellamy as "Bellers" I feel like I want to punch my monitor.
