Yes, that is quite an album.
Seven songs, including the one I posted above, this one:
which is just as good, and "All Right Now".
That is some impressive work.

After all those beans, it would be a genuine hazard.
Another reason to leave them in the tin, on the shelf, at the grocery store.

McQueen: that was his persona, and I'm struggling to think of a role where he wasn't "cool".
If I had to add to the list it'd be Charles Bronson. Another who was always pretty calm cool and collected on screen.

Anyone catch Devs on BBC last night? New Alex Garland series. Great so far.
Just about to post the same thing.
Along with "Kingdom" it's the best of my lock-down playlist, for sure.

Every once in a while I make garlic toast, then throw some cheese on it and melt that, then use the cheese on garlic toast to make a BLT, or a hamburger, or a club sandwich.
Then I take my lipitor.

That gif goes on forever and it's like it's happening live. This is going to be a long lockdown.
I've just discovered it's in perfect tempo with the Stones "Tumbling Dice" as well.
Hypnotic.

Mike is starting to look like Wade Wilson, particularly just after the ordeal in the desert.
I really enjoyed the scene where Saul and Mike are talking in the car--the scene where Saul comes to terms with his own "breaking bad".
Still good stuff.

Venom
5 of 10
Hardy playing the same half-wit he played in "The Drop", only that movie had a story and an excellent cast.
Watch it instead.

Care homes are turning out some horror stories here in Canada as well.
Multiple deaths, sky-rocketing infection rates, even virtual abandonment of those in care in some cases.
There will be a reckoning.

Easter double feature:
Ben Hur: spectacular movie, it will always be a classic. 10 of 10.
Jesus Christ Superstar: it's dated, very dated, but still one of my favourites.

I’m not British, so your politics, while somewhat important to me in a historical sense, and with the British border on my island from a current sense, is more of an interested bystander view. But the treatment of a fundamentally decent man in Corbyn to ensure he didn’t get in Number 10 is horrific. Even for the people that hate him and his party and for the ones who are rampant Tories that are delighted he lost, they should be terrified how the press could smear him to this level and control who runs the country. They can do it to anyone. Disgusting, and utterly terrifying.
Looking from a little further away, that, broadly, is my take as well.

The Windermere Children
Documentary about a group of children who survived the holocaust and were brought to the Lakes District to recover.
Combination of archival footage and interviews.
Very good.

On phone, so searching is a balls.
someone posted a while back, a clip of a doctor on Australian tv explains about the virus. The fact that it stops the oxygen getting into the blood.
Can anyone repost it if they can find it?
Please and thanks.
See above.

An explanation of how the virus works by a professor at University College London:
Seems to tally with what has happened with Johnson, particularly re the ten day time period prior to his admission to the ICU.
Was this the clip you were after, Lario?

Hopefully the lessons learned from the front-runners will mean the decline starts earlier and is steeper for the late-comers.

You know you've got something when the band you're covering invites you to their final concert to help them sing it one last time.

They did write a second book called "The Final Days" (which I've just discovered they made into a TV movie I've never seen and will have to go looking for).
It's a very good book, as the authors had access to information from most of the people involved. A completely different tone from ATPM, but if you want to learn how Nixon fell it's the book to read.
