    Lucas has not improved.

Scan tomorrow, or rather later today, from what I've read.

    Chelsea CC QF

Some credit to Dowd as well. The missed red on Lukaku is disappointing, but a lot of refs would have given the penalty on Sideshow Bob's dive. He got the penaltly call at the other end right too.

Credit to Kenny and the coaching staff for having all these guys so ready to play, even if they're not getting regular football. Spearing is doing the job. So is Kelly. Get in!

    Get the fuck in!

Rate the last film you watched...

Death Proof Tarantino: all style, little substance. I loved it. Great stunt work, sexy women, a bit of over-the-top gore, and Kurt Russell as the bad guy.

    Lucas has not improved.

He's made excellent progress. The most notable thing for me is his positioning. As mentioned, he committed all those fouls in dangerous positions because he wasn't reading the game well enough. And that is the key to the game in the job he has. Now he's reading the game much better, and so fewer poor fouls, he's in position to receive and make more passes, and he's also in position to make more tackles. I hope to hell the rest of the youngsters we have make the same progress.

    Gary Speed

But obviously you do. You care what everyone is doing, what they're thinking, what they're feeling, (or not feeling), to the point that you feel obligated to tell them what they should do, what they should think, and what they should feel, when, and how much. Don't tell me you don't care. You seem to care too much.

    Maybe because he wasn't dead?
  9. Pepe Lucas Suarez First two inter-changeable, and a ways ahead of the rest of the squad.

It's always you, Mario, because you're an idiot.

RIP Terrible news, whatever the reason.

Is Slur Alex losing the plot?

Whether he dies a horrible lingering painful death from nut cancer is not for me to decide, but Ferguson really is a cunt.

    Today's Other Games

2-1 RMA, and little prospect of a comeback from ATM. I'm only watching now in hopes someone does douse Ronaldo in gasoline and set him alight.

    Today's Other Games

You'd think they'd been doused in gasoline and set alight, the way they roll around on the ground.

    Today's Other Games

I think I know where that spawny luck that usually inhabits Old Trafford has gone to. 1-1 Vermaelen at the other end, with his other end. Nice goal.

    Today's Other Games

Murphy to Riise and a nice finish into his own net by Vermaillen and it's 1-0 Fullham. I know he scuffed it a bit, but as long as they go in.

    Today's Other Games

Probert doing a similarly one-sided job Spuds v WBA. WBA playing some good football despite him though, and should be up instead of tied at the half.
  19. My bitterness toward Torres has been cut by the fact that he's been so poor. My guess is he told the powers that be sometime before, or early in the transfer window, he wanted to leave. But he still left at one of the lowest on-field points in the club's history, and I think that is unforgivable. Whatever promises were made to him, if promises were made to him, he shouldn't have walked out on the supporters. Four months more, to get the club back on the right track, isn't too much to ask from someone who gets paid millions of pounds to play a game.

    Best Jack Nicholson film.

Chinatown is a great movie, not so much because of Nicholson's performance, which is excellent, but because it's a great story, well-told. Nicholson actually plays the straight man for all the eccentric characters he bumps into. If you haven't seen it, you're missing one of the best movies ever made IMO.

Nice one Rupert, you amoral toad.

    Weekend's other games

Entertaining match between PSV and Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Europa. 3-2 HTA after 65 minutes. Back and forth, great goals, loads of chances and a couple of world-class saves.

    Evra accuses Suarez of racism

And before anyone gets the wrong idea, I don't believe Ferguson had anything to do with the accusations of racist abuse. My point is that this place is all about speculation. None of us ever have perfect information about anything. We'll speculate til the FA releases it's report, and we'll go on speculating after it's released.

    Evra accuses Suarez of racism

How can you know that Ferguson isn't behind this all? The FA haven't produced a report on it, Ferguson has neither confirmed nor denied it, there is no CCTV footage proving he isn't behind it, etc. With one breath you say people shouldn't speculate, and with the next you speculate yourself.

    Best Jack Nicholson film.

Difficult to choose between Cuckoo's Nest and Chinatown. Cuckoo's Nest. I don't know if he was "Jack Nicholson" at that point, so much as that was the role that made him "Jack Nicholson".
