  1. Interviewed by Ray Stubbs - "I shall be very disappointed when we lose." Moyes would be proud.
  2. This is it in a nutshell... why wouldn't a journo seek clarification from Mr Scudamore - "Was he worse for the reputation than you sending sexist emails from your place of work Richard?"
  3. This Artur Boruc? Ulster's Number 1 Artur Boruc? Yes, I'd accept £45 for the Loan Fee, with us paying most of his wages, obviously.
  4. Shocked at the club aspect. Surely CAS is an option for the club? Jim Boyce would have been chairman of Cliftonville when it was under Protestant ownership. Cliftonville (the area) used to be an affluent Protestant & Jewish district of Belfast until the troubles & most of them left due to rampant sectarian intimidation & threats to their lives. It's not that long since Cliftonville became a members club & I believe Boyce still has an honorary position at the club.
  5. I see what you're saying, though you'd hope that such a scenario would be so transparent that the regulators would take a view (perhaps I hope for too much) that this is trying to circumvent the rules and act accordingly.
  6. I agree with you mostly, however, I think my problem with it exists when the two clubs are in the same federation. If United ever met their feeder club in a competition, it's not a fair game. My going to different Federations, I don't really see an issue to be honest in what City are doing.
  7. I hope someone bought a cake... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Now he's disappeared to the States with England, I'd be cancelling the £25m offer. If England fail to move past the group stages I'd offer £17.5m in July.
  9. Uruguay 1-0 NI Ryan McLaughlin won a cap for Northern Ireland last night - coming on as a sub. First Liverpool player to do so since Elisha Scott. NI play Chile in a few days & he's likely to feature there too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. TV coverage just suggested that Sturridge had to be persuaded to play this evening...
  11. 14 Pillars in the last diagram. Leave the black cat well alone.

  13. Rodgers likes playing a form team... I can't see him dropping Agger for Sakho, unless his training form is something special. I can see why we might consider that, but I can't see it happening. Cutting off the supply is easier said than done too when you consider 60 yard punts into the box will be the order of the day from WHU. I'd start with both Cou and Raheem... they'll be compact and sit deep... pace won't have a huge impact I don't think (though after his performance v Tottenham you couldn't drop Raheem), so the craftiness and ability to pick a through ball will be needed. That's tough on Allen who's form recently has been good, but he's simply being outshone by others. For me, I'd also have Suarez in the middle & Sturridge wide... again as the space in behind isn't going to be huge, so a combo of Cou & Suarez with Sturridge, Henderson and Sterling creating runs around should be enough to unpick the locks at the Tower of London, never mind the Boleyn Grounds.
  14. Technically a loss is a result. Sitting in a Belfast pub surrounded by MU supporters & loving it. Apparently there is no quality in this team besides Rooney & Welbeck. Blow me over with a feather. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Chris Bascombe's piece in the telegraph today was a proper 'I believe' piece... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/10718135/Liverpool-strike-fear-into-Premier-League-rivals-after-six-goal-show-at-Cardiff.html

  17. Yup. Working with Ancelloti, Ronaldo & Alonso pales into insignificance in that light... Bizarre.
  18. Giggs pointedly asked if the team owed the Manager & the fans one after Sunday... Giggs pointedly saying yes, they owed the fans.
  19. I love the unity he's brought to the squad. I think that has help bring the team & the support together too. Everyone seems to be pulling in the same direction.
  20. I am 32 and I was actually at George Best's testimonial in Belfast in 1988 (I wasn't too old). Best was 42 on that day and for when he was on the field he was pretty good amongst some decent names of old footballers. My father who brought my brother & I and who had been watching Northern Ireland since the 60's actually resented Best on that day (and probably for many years prior). He fully believed that Best was so good, he would have been playing top division football in England in 1988 if he had the will power to control his demons and the drink. He pissed his ability up against the wall.
