  1. Looks like the photo negative from Harry Potter meeting a Death Eater.
  2. And yet get a free kick for the same offence at the other end of the pitch. Bizarre decision making.
  3. Honestly, the football being played is absolutely atrocious. Resembles a playground match this.
  4. Lazarus Project S2 - just as good as S1 and I'm hoping Sky pick it up for another season.
  5. Just seen this. Sad news and a much underrated politician who helped steady the British economy after the 2008 crash, before the Tories and the Lib Dems completely fucked it.
  6. Wasn't this claim used by Rico to call you all out as cunts in his only post on the thread since the bombardment started? You lot should ask for an apology.
  7. I'm assuming there was internal work planned to as externally it just appears to be some pressed metal detail. Which wouldn't add up to a multi-million pound scheme.
  8. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/kohanim-london-tube-underground-science-museum-b2454227.html Council rejects Jewish sect’s planning application that would finally allow them to travel on the London Underground The planning statement said that the proposed secondary roof would break up the one roof phenomenon. There's an alternative, or as some might say, main entrance 5 minutes walk away, you lazy twats. To be honest, planners can be twats too. I'm having to draw up elevations of a whole building in a conservation area just to show a 120mm roof height increase. You would barely notice the difference on a 1:100 scale drawing.
  9. Fucking hell. Kilmer had throat cancer, chemo and tracheotomies. An absolute bizarre shout.
  10. There's a chapter in Empireland that talks about Imperialism and the education system, especially public schools. To maintain the running of the Empire they were just tasked with turning out people who wouldn't question anything. Explains somewhat the debacle of COVID and his inability to handle details, yet can regurgitate Latin phrases ad infinitum.
  11. Ha, it's all good. But yeah, I think I'll be best going tea total from now on. Or perhaps after the Christmas meal.
  12. Air fryers guarantee crispy skin on chicken every time. I struggle with that in the oven. Just need a decent sized basket for it though.
  13. It's exactly what's happening. Britain's economy is flat-lining as the BoE's long run of interest rate hikes squeezes households and businesses. But employers are still struggling to fill vacancies after many workers left the job market during the coronavirus pandemic, with Brexit also reducing the supply of candidates. "The labour market remains very tight and businesses are still struggling to hire the people they need," Alexandra Hall-Chen, a policy adviser at the Institute of Directors, said.
  14. Wage rises because there are not enough people to do the work isn't a good thing. It doesn't need a degree to work it out.
  15. Cycling Laura is better than bucktooth Tory Laura.
  16. Haha, I'm sure I've posted that I suffer with anxiety right? That's me fucked every time I have a palpitation.
  17. Ah shoot. I'll be the designated driver from now on then.
  18. Heart was damn near jumping out of my chest this morning, as it has last few times I've been on the lash. I really should can the drinking because it surely can't be good that you have heart palpitations as your body tries to get rid of the alcohol.
  19. Just got back from a rare night out. No idea if I'll be dead in the morning, but there were quite a few whiskys had over the night. Someone will have to identify the dead body.
  20. They'd have to be making a sound for it to sound shite. Almost absolute silence for most of the match. It was bizarre, like everyone was still on the international break.
  21. Bought myself the newer Fire Stick so I can watch the unmentionable, as my old Fire TV is on its last legs. Apart from that, there's not a lot that hasn't been cheaper at other times of the year.
  22. The Lazarus Project S1 - had been meaning to watch this but never quite got round to it until the ads started up for S2. It's actually pretty good and I binged it in a few days.
  23. Empireland by Sathnam Sanghera. I honestly think that these kind of texts should be essential reading, especially in schools, as the consequences of Imperialism are felt as much now as any other time in our history. I believe there's a shorter version of this book for kids aged 9+ which I'm going to buy for our kids as it will help them understand a bit more of our history and why we are here*. (*Answer: because you were there)
  24. It's easy. Wickremasinghe. Rolls off the tongue.
  25. That's one less opportunity for a female to become a Roman Emperor. Men!
