    Everyone knows Country Music sucks.

Country & western is fucking great Flying Pig mate!! Well up until the 90's anyway. Didn't really care for Garth Brooks and his ilk. s some great stuff from Hank Williams all the way through Marty Robbins and Johhny Cash to Kenny Rogers Bellamy Brothers etc. Grew up in a household with very eclectic choices in music thanks to my old pair. Lots of one hit wonders too http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=qJ5-FoiBuVc I've tried posting you tube songs on here before but when all i get is a white box when its done. Can someone explain how its done?
  3. Don't think anyone feels upset by what you're saying here mate. But he's gone and he has only himself to blame by the timing of his leaving. If he'd shown the King some respect and left it until the end of the season before leaving I doubt he'd be attracting as much ire from the fans as he's now receiving. For the record I stated earlier in this thread that I do sometimes feel a bit sorry for him. But it's overweighed by the way he left.

    Lucas has not improved.

Fair enough. Would like to see him get a run in there as cm is his natural position but appreciate he's more forward minded.

    Lucas has not improved.

Good call on Jay. What about trying Henderson in there perhaps? Is he disciplined enough for a dm role?
  6. I think you're right there San Don. Kenny's all about restoring the clubs core values. Torres for whatever reasons only properly know to himself shit all over them with the way he conducted himself around the time of his transfer and resulting interviews etc. Can't see anyway back for him here ever IMO

Andy Carroll, what does he do?

Yeah I know what you mean LFD and you have a point as well but I think it is a possible reason all the same. I believe he was quite happy at Newcastle and it probably was a bit of a wrench leaving for him. A year older and the maturity that comes with that will see a big change in him. That's my hope anyway.

Jordan Henderson - what are you?

I think he's an outstanding prospect and am fully confident that he'll become a great player for us. He had a good match last night and he is at his best in central midfield imo but I believe he's a level headed lad and it's a good indication of his character that he appears to be quite happy to play on the right if thats what Kenny wants of him. Good qualities in a young lad.

Andy Carroll, what does he do?

TBH I never really counted that as a season seeing as he was injured for the majority of it mate. I'm not blinkered about him though I can definitely still see it going tits up with him. I like him though and I'm not ready to give up on him yet. Plenty of players take a full whole season to fit in for various reasons. Could be the case with Andy.

Andy Carroll, what does he do?

I'm hopeful that in time he'll adapt though. I believe he has good match intelligence and if Kenny can guide him through this difficult phase he's going through lately I believe he can still come good. I thought he played quite well in patches last night. The one thing I'm sticking to is Kenny's statement thats he's been bought for 5 years not for the short term. If the King is prepared to have patience then so am I. Really hope things work out for him because he's a player I really like. Indeed we might not see the real Andy shine until next season.

    Lucas has not improved.

Respect for that post. Lucas drives me mad sometimes but it would be extremely cuntish of anyone not to commend him for his outstanding performance on sunday, and indeed the chelsea game. He was even getting up front and playing neat passes in and around their box at the end of the game as well. He needs to keep at that level and be as commanding in games against the so called lesser teams we play though. Mind you the same can be said for a lot of our players.

Wow that is an outstanding post. John Pilger is one of my favourite writers/journo's and his book 'Heroes' has a chapter which compiles his writings during the miners strike in the early 80's and the devastation that thatchers policy caused at a human level. His interviews with some of those courageous miners who tried to protect the very lifestyle which you so vividly outline and advocate above from thatchers policies are among the saddest things I've ever read. Take a well earned bow.

    Gary Speed

It's sad to hear of anyone dying such a lonely death. I have a lot of empathy for him. Where I grew up in the 80's there was a significant amount of suicide's among the male population, possibly down to helplessness of living with a high unemployment rate coupled with an endemic binge drinking culture. I couldn't begin to imagine what pushed Gary Speed over the edge but I guess he might have been troubled for a long time. R.I.P
  14. In one. Especially for one who supposedly understood what it meant to play for Liverpool and who enjoyed a rapport with the fans that was almost on a par with Gods and the King. It's unfathomable to think of the way he's left things with the fans when you think of how loved he was by us all.

    Caroline Wozniacki

Fuck me thats sexy! It saddens me that she is going out with Rory McElroy instead of the less talented, less successful, poorer and much older me. Life sucks...

Is Slur Alex losing the plot?

I'm sure he's worried however he's not cracking up imo just getting the old siege mentality going again. He get's away with this type of behaviour most of the time anyway now as he's damn near untouchable the fucking gnarled old prune. Fuck him I hope basle tear them a new one and they're dumped into the europa league and get hammered by city 10-0 in the final with Michael Owen playing up front.

Film moments that blew you away...

Some great examples picked in this thread. I have to say the first time I saw die hard in the cinema was fucking mindblowing. Especiallly when Mc Clain jumps off the roof holding onto the firehose as they blow the top of the skyscraper up. Watching the First in the Lords of the ring trilogy in the cinema was unreal as well. People just stumbled silently out after we were all so stunned by it's brilliance.

    Favourite Sherlock Holmes

Cant argue with those choices. Always loved the Rathbone movies as well as the Jeremy Brett series Can't comment in the Guy Richie film as I've yet to watch it. I've heard Downey Jnr is great in it
  19. I'm delighted we have 2 very good right backs in Johnson and Kelly.
  20. A little sometimes. I still think he's a cunt for leaving us in the lurch when he did though.
  21. Would have been nice to have given them the chance though?
  22. He would have been brilliant linking up with Suarez I reckon. The fucking wanker
