  1. I got the wrong Fat Tory on the Fat Tory question thus proving that we have too many Fat Tories on the site and it’s time for a cull
  2. They pivoted towards a policy of releasing a deadly epidemic into the world, destroying life as we know it and taking over the remaining ashes of society. Early experiments have shown promise
  3. Merry Christmas all. Hope you and your loved ones have a great holiday together
  4. Tokaji Aszu with cake. Bunch of god damn savages
  5. Needs either dumplings or proper bread. Otherwise it’s definitely one of your better meals although your missus will go ballistic when she finds out you used a tea towel as a table mat
  6. Just watched Raab’s interview and he seems to think it’s normal for people to break at work, down a bottle of wine and then get back to it. Explains the general quality of work being done by the government
  7. You missed the bit where the real driver of the reduction in unemployment rates is the 0.9% increase in people becoming economically inactive since the pandemic started and therefore dropping out of the stats https://www.ons.gov.uk/employmentandlabourmarket/peopleinwork/employmentandemployeetypes/bulletins/employmentintheuk/november2021
  8. Liz Truss has got the Brexit job from Frost alongside her current duties of Foreign Secretary and Minister for Women & Equalities. Judging by the job she did on the Australian deal, France will probably own the U.K. by the end of next year
  9. It’s the plastic bowls that add a little something extra to CD’s cooking
  10. What is spread? If you mean butter, then yes. If you mean a condiment like mustard, then no. If you mean something processed that comes out of a jar or a tube and is meant to be a filling, then get out of the Foodie thread, we only have space for one CD-type chef
  11. Prior to Johnson, she was ranked as the worst post-war. Personally I think Cameron got away lightly in this ranking https://theconversation.com/theresa-may-joint-worst-post-war-prime-minister-say-historians-and-politics-professors-in-new-survey-163912 But regardless, when have we had three successive PMs with such disastrous records?
  12. At some point, each of the last three PMs have been discussed as the worst PM in British history. Cameron for the unnecessary referendum, May for her inability to get a Brexit deal done and Johnson for corruption, lying and dragging politics down to its lowest level ever. We are in a shit cycle of British history, thanks to the Tories
  13. Will also be the third time in just a few years that a handful of elderly Tories in the shires get to elect a new Prime Minister with years to go before an election. Need a new system
  14. Lib Dems have won it comfortably so Boris might just have time for one more Christmas party before he’s unceremoniously dumped out of Downing Street
  15. Do you have any decent strippers now that you’ve booted out the East Europeans? Or are you just paying more for saggy British tits?
  16. What is Tom’s background? Had he fought his way up to the C suite before he met Shiv? I know he didn’t marry her until after the show started but did she get him the job at the company?
  17. Bit racist. Just because I live in Eastern Europe doesn’t mean I will jump at any job picking vegetables
  18. Possibly not, maybe it’s just me but I tend to be quite suspicious of almost anything Orban does
  19. New law in Hungary that I can’t decide about. All supermarket chains over a certain value are now required to hand over all food to a charity when it reaches 48 hours before its best before date. Supporters claiming that it’s a good move towards eliminating the ridiculous levels of food waste whilst helping the poor. Opponents claiming it’s a protectionist policy against overseas supermarket chains https://hungarytoday.hu/hungary-law-supermarket-chains-foreign-food-waste/?fbclid=IwAR0k61BBN1KQMmAvDS7fhYS8CK3quhyKGtEAw93J1dlfKwnxf6B-8YQxcck
  20. I see there’s no shortage of paint thinner on U.K. shelves this Christmas
  21. “I waited 45 minutes for a gin and tonic so who’s the real victim?” ”Make your own pile” ”Love? You come at me with love?” Some great moments in that episode
  22. 1) they don’t want a resurgent Lib Dems, it doesn’t help them long-term 2) they don’t want a quick end to Boris, he’s damaging the Tories and they want to drag out as much damage as possible In short they have a bigger agenda than anyone-but-Tories
  23. In my defence, the Alps are a reasonable drive from me and I also live in a country where being middle class is roughly defined as being able to feed yourself
