  1. Just to add to that........ You would think by now that Steve Hunter would know that the formation is 4-3-3 now and not the 4-2-3-1 he keeps spoutin about. Fulton is not a scottish goalkeeper, he's from Lancs it's his Gran who's Scottish. McQuire is not a scouser he's a manc !! As you say....... back to basics
  2. You're spot on mate... that's the reason why he left. A nice enough lad just believed a little too much in his own hype. Didn't see any improvement on Tuesday's performance either.
  3. Did anybody else notice when Jordan Lussey took the ball from Moli just before his goal the way Moli lundged in with foot up and side on. If he had connected there he could of easily broke Lussey's leg. It went completely unnoticed by the ref and the commentary team.
  4. Couldn't agree with you more.... let the lads develop and give them time. The 2nd year scholars who haven't yet been offered pro deals ie Sumner,Hatch,Aylmer,Rafferty and Regan are all under pressure to put a performance in every game to try and secure their short term futures with Liverpool. Threy need all the support they can get. Moli hasn't had trials elsewhere just Mukendi and Tom King. I don't think the fact that the cameras are there really affects their game, they've got more things to concentrate on than looking good for the cameras, with the exception of maybe Dunn who seem to roll his right sleeve up showing his newly etched tattoo at every possible opportunity. :)
  5. It you read the post properly, I wasn't comparing our lads with local league players, I was saying that rather than slagging them off coz they're apparently not good enough, let's take a average display on the chin and give them some encouragement. After all Morgan, Regan, Dunn,Belford were all with the Eng U17 world cup squad, Lussey recently played for Eng U18 team, and there are 5 other International players in the squad. Not bad for a team that's not good enough
  6. The conditions today were certainly not conjusive to quality football but I'd take a 1-0 scappy win anytime. These lads have lost and drawn games this season that they should have got far more from. A deflected goal from Jordan Lussey(who I thought battled hard all game) maybe just that bit of luck needed to push on for the rest of the seaon. It does however annoy me with all these armchair football pundits who think these lads aren't up to it and nowhere near as good as last year. These lads train hard 5 days a week and have done more or less for the last 10 years.I would suggest that 100% of 17yr old local league footballers would sell their grannies to be at this level. Most of the critics on this and other forums would need a week off work to recover from these lad's pre match warm up let alone running around 90mins covering over 8mls. Shall we just take the fortunate 3pts and give the lads some encouragement.
  7. It doesn't matter whether is 16 or 22 it's a team game, the ball shudda been squared and all that shit about only been playin for the 18's a few months is bollocks, he's been at L'pool long enough to know better. Anyway from a lot of what I read on here " a Donkey " is quite mild compared to how some of the players have been discribed. I suggest you go'n have a lie down in a dark room and have another one of your pils.
  8. He's 17 now actually. There was a lot of positives in what I said and the down points are areas that L'pool will work on to help him improve his overall game. I have watched nearly every game Baio's played in since he arrived at the club so I've have formed my opinion over the last 18mths, rather than 10 minutes of highlights on lfc tv. Just because my opinion differs from yours doesn't make me a twat. I would suggest he'll start most of the games on the bench unless others are injured.
  9. Baio's good defensive midfielder but does lack the technical ability and creativity of some of the other central midfielders. He's a solid tackler but does get a bit carried away and has been lucky to stay on the pitch a couple of times this season. He'll do a job as a defensive midfielder but unlikely to make that defence splitting pass to win you the game. (Apart from the one he played to that donkey Moli the other week who glory hunted instead of squaring it to Morgan or Lussey for a simple tap in)
  10. Lussey , Dunn and Baio are training at Melwood with the first team tomorrow, what great and valuable experience that'll be for them. Let's hope they don't crock one of the 1st team. :)

  12. Went to the game this morning, evenly matched teams, we had more of the play overall and on balance should have taken the points. The penalty was a bit harsh but understood why he gave it. Good quick response from liverpool with a great goal from Jordan Lussey. Moli should have scored won it for us in the last two mins. Also sky+ the game and watched it after the first team game. Gotta say how totally negative David Fairclough is on commentary, he never had a good word to say about anything we did, even when Jordan Lussey scored he commented on how it was the first time he'd seen him in the second half. Dunno what game he was watchin but Lussey and Baio dominated the midfield in both halves both their contributions were extensive the whole game. F#*k him off and get a co commentator who'll give some praise where it's due
