  1. Set up a favourites list. I had the same issue so set up a favourites list with BBC1 HD and then channels that I actually watch - makes it so much easier to see whats on. Once set up, when you go to TV Guide, press up one to select Favourites and then you see the channels that you actually want to see and get rid of a load of the crap ones. How to set up your favourite channels Press services on your Sky remote, select Options and then select Favourites. Highlight the channel(s) to set up as a favourite and press yellow. A tick appears next to the channels selected. Once complete, press green to save the setting and then sky to return to your viewing. Access your favourite channels Press blue on your Sky remote to bring up the Search and Scan banner. Continue pressing blue to scroll through your favourite channel list. Once you can see the channel required, press select to view it.
  2. Love this, both manager's reaction to Mo's goal https://twitter.com/premierleague/status/1582641517335875584?s=20&t=XyzewIER9CkQbuJVAVeJPg
  3. Starting a new game this weekend. Full details are here £5 to enter, winner takes the pot. Last game had 107 players and a prize of £535. Interestingly, the last two have have both been won by people from this forum!
  4. No. Still sitting in its box, had a lot on and not had a chance to list it anywhere yet.
  5. Was in Costa Adeje last week and did Siam Park. That slide was a bit of a letdown after queuing so long for it, goes too quick and impossible to keep eyes open! Some other great attractions there though, had a boss day.
  6. Got a Sky Devialet Soundbox I am looking to sell - bought last year as I had seen them recommended on this thread. Will be sticking on ebay and similar soon - if anyone is interested before I do that then drop me a message. Looking for £90 - fully boxed, with cables and remote. Perfect working order - only selling as we are building a media wall so looking at a more traditional shaped sound bar to go in there.
  7. I do 7k a day - working from home I go out at lunch to get away from the pc for a bit. Made a point of going out first thing this morning though as it was so warm yesterday
  8. Yeah, I asked was it someone offshore to which the answer was yes and suggested he might want to insist to speak to a manager and get it escalated to an onshore team
  9. Thanks both - hadnt considered trying another provider - seems an easy suggestion! Interesting about the 12 months but I would hope he had it sorted by then - I had also suggested to put a formal complaint in writing, always think they get dealt with better for some reason.
  10. On a slightly separate note. My son moved into his first house 3 weeks ago. I made him take photos of the meters etc and he has tried to get in touch with the existing providers (EDF) to set up an account with them and give them the readings etc. They have said they cant open another account on the property as there is already an active account under the previous owner (which has an outstanding balance) and they can't do anything til that has been settled. I've advised him to start putting whatever he has budgeted for away as he will have to pay it at some point and raise a formal complaint, but does anyone have any idea how he can get this sorted??
  11. I dont think that would work like that. I have just gone through similar - my fixed rate with EON finished last week - I was paying £160pm. My last bill shown that I was £290 in credit but that credit will now just be spent at the newer increased rate. I took my bill from June (£95) and played with some figures in Excel with the figures from the bill against the new rates and saw an increase of £60 to £155. Did similar with last January's to get a feel for what the winter may look like and the bill was £184 but under new tariff would have been £355. I have now increased by monthly dd to £250 and hoping that the increase and the credit balance should keep me on track (before the fuckers increase it again)
  12. I worked in Wythenshawe since 1998 so was commuting 5 days a week before we had capability to WFH. Used to WFH 1 or 2 days a week prior to lockdown. Also before lockdown, was moved to Manchester city centre and split across there and Wythenshawe. Once we started lockdown, I made a point of making an office space in another room - away from the kitchen to stop snacking. Also got more into running which resulted in me going for a run every lunch hour to get away from the desk. Started going back into office a day or two a week since March and the commuting is killing me - I cant be arsed with the hassle (and expense) of driving into Manchester city centre so have been using train and end up with best part of 2 hours commute each way - most frustrating thing is some days I just end up on back to back Teams calls!! Its nice to see some different faces and catch up with some people but the effort in the actual commute is really pissing me off and there is now talk of increasing the days in the office to 3 days a week - which will be back to what I was doing pre-lockdown. Defo prefer WFH for me!
  13. I run a couple of footy comps - Last Man Standing, Fantasy Footy league & a Super 6 league. Kicking off all 3 comps again for the coming season. There is an entry fee for each comp, with all fees going into the prize pot. Open to anyone to join. Last Man is a £5 entry - winner takes the pot (averaged 93 players per game last season with an average prize payout of £465). Fantasy Footy is through the Premier League site - £10 entry. Run two cup comps alongside the league - 47 players last season with £470 split across the league & cups. League code is lfprxx Super 6 is a mini league through the Super 6 app/site - £10 entry. Similar to the fantasy footy, I run two cups as well - 38 players last season with £380 split across the league & cups. League code is NM264E More details on each comp can be read on my site - https://griolfc.sport.blog/ If you enter one of the leagues, drop me an email so I can add you to my mailing list. To join Last Man Standing, drop me an email with your selection for the 1st round of games before the season starts.
  14. Haha! Perhaps Other interesting thing there is that a brand new arena is being built - supposedly bigger that the MEN (or whatever its called these days). Looks like its sponsored by Co-Op, on the other side of the canal/tramlines from the stadium but I guess that's likely to bring some more day trippers there as well. Why Manchester (as a city) feels it needs two arenas (in a relatively close proximity) is beyond me. Link to the new arena site
  15. My office is based in Manchester city centre - we've had to go back into the office 2 days a week so I have started going for a run on my lunch while there. Found a good route from the back of Piccadilly upto the Etihad along the canal. Was very surprised last week at how many people were around the stadium - there was clearly some sort of tour going on as a large group was being led across from the stadium to the club shop and then around the stadium, quite a few people getting their pictures with those shit statues of Silva, Kompany and Aguero. So it looks like they are starting to build on the day trippers as well.
  16. Middle stairs were defo used for entry - I remember using them in the mid-80's when I first started going. That was as a junior - maybe they were only child entries as most of the rest of the time I recall entering via the ones on the right, by the flagpole.
  17. James Milner MBE in the Queens Jubilee honours
  18. Great atmosphere by the Jolly Miller. Was very surprised at people calling this morning for this not to go ahead. I reckon there was just as many people at the Jolly Miller as there was in 2019.
  19. Watching Sky Sports News and there’s understandably a lot of coverage for the final. Yellow ticker bar just running a story that Everton have announced the first steel installations at BMD.
  20. I use Strava from my Apple Watch, there is a setting to for Audio Cues, which announces your split times (mine is set to km so I get an announcement every km with total distance, total time and time of the last km). I would also recommend looking at a website called Smash Run - you can sync this up with Strava (and others) and get a lot of detailed info over what you get on the free version of Strava.
  21. Order the new top and some shorts (not going full kit wanker, need some shorts for 5 a side) and they arrived today. Look and feel good quality, with Nike tags and in Nike packaging. Order from JjSports on 5th May and delivered today
  22. My lad managed to get two from it. Made up for him
  23. This. My lad and his mate use our season tickets now - they both did AC and Villareal away this season (his mate did Inter away as well). They have been to countless domestic aways this season (in fact his mate has done every domestic game so far this season). The only away tickets they managed to get via the ST's were Preston. Needless to say they were unsuccessful in the ballot (for both tomorrow and Paris). I said exactly the same as you yesterday to my lad - there has to be a way for the people who attend to get the actual credit. The closed shop for away tickets is a joke.
  24. That may well explain why I saw Harry Kewell sat in the same place a couple of games ago then!
