  1. Intelligence? This lad makes Babel look like Zidane. He is quick and has a decent end product, but poor decision making, and is very easy to read. Id much prefer us to look elsewhere although his pace would be nice. Still though, I believe Rodgers want players that are good on the ball and has their heads screwed on properly. He was a lot better in CSKA, and has been completely out of form the past season. A decet addition, but nothing else.
  2. Belhanda is brilliant. not slow at all, even though is not the quickest. He thinks fast and is a genuinely talented player. Have seen him 6-7 tmes. Have seen Ramirez once, and he was pretty much invisible in that game.
  3. We needed this last summer as well. Not to mention in January. Why would Kenny have a different perception now? It was there for everyone to see 12 months ago, and he opted for a winger that has one good attribute as long as the timing of the movement around him is spot on -Downing. The holes in our squad are severe and we need probably three transferwindows to sort this out if we are realistic in terms of successrat. Not to mention a new formation, Carra needs to be in the stands -at best, players need to be played in their favoured position, and Kenny needs to learn that a NONE of our central midfielders are not suited to figure in a two man central mid, but a threeman setup. His ability to change games from the side and to have an impact on games are nonexistent, and he dowsnt seem to get the best out of this mediocre squad. We need a new manager, 4-6 top class players with pace, ballcontrol, vision, creativity and skills. This squad is appauling, especially considering the amount of money spent.
  4. BAsed on his looks yeah. And a bit of Simao. Belhanda would be a great signing. Great on the ball, great vision, great tecnique. Can pass, shoot, dribble and take on players. He can dictate the play and set the pace. Can play in four positions as he works in central mid, attacking mid, and would also do well on the wings. Great player with massive potential. Get him, a pacey striker and a pacey winger. If MVila goes for less than 20 mill it would be plain stupidity not to try.
  5. Yes, the romantic dream, or the principle of continuity. First of all; we all knew that Gerrard could be missing, and same with Agger. It should have been adressed. We also could foresee how important Lucas has become. Not buying suitable backup was a gamble. Yes, we have played better, but to blame it on the posts and missed chances is rather thin imo. YEs, we have been unlucky, but over a season this evens out -more or less. We are still poor in tha last 3rd of the pitch, not to mention without Suarez who is a handfull for every defence in the league. We lack edge, and we seem clueless attacking. We play our best football without the players Kenny brought in last summer (+carroll). His way of handling the matches from the bench is appauling as is is man management. He seems clueless and the players are being played out of position time and again. But if you want to blame it on lack of clinical finishing, be my guest. Truth is that if we remove Suarez from that equation, we do not create as many clear cut chances, and we would have the same problem again; we need players who can unlock a tight defence. We have missed this for a number of years now. When we bought Downing to feed carroll, we are basically hedging the success of the one-dimensioned Carroll, on the hit rate of the Downings left foot. Risky! We also knew that Downing is uncapable of opening an unlocked defense, as he can hardly run passed a player, even less likely pull some tricks out of his sleeve. The areas we needed to adress two years ago, are still not addressed, and I find it strange that DC or KK are still not taking action. I would love for Kenny to succedd, but every time I see the man on the sidelines, watching his team play poorly, unable or unwilling to do anything.. I lose faith. There are too many brits in our sqad. The problem with brits is that they do not have the craft we need. Although we have an academy which looks promising, the fact is that the Englsih system of developing players need a serious revamp. There are 8 times more edeucated footballcoaches in Spain than in England. England has a huge challenge in terms of developing players, and it starts at a very your age. Ive also heard that 11 and 12 year old kids play on a fullsize pitch wth a fullsize ball. Makes sense? no. At the top of things the FA and PL hardly speaks. FA has had 10 different directors in 11 years. The FA has committes consiting of 70 people all needing to voice an opinion. In comparison in Germany the DFL (bundelsiga) and the German FA all sat down and agreed that national team should play in a distinct manner. They decided you needed to operate your own academy to be allowed tp play in the bundesliga. You also need to have control over your finances. Then you need to include at least 11 German young players in the squad. This was more or less 8 years ago. What are the results? Positive football, all clubs in the blacks, NT playing better football than ever. Better young players are developed than ever (youth NTs have won almost everything the past years). And the crowds are bigger than ever. What does Scudamore say "we must never do anything that could jepordize the global position of this league". That is xcellent considering 16 of 20 clubs were severely in the reds in 2011. This got out of hand, but my point is that we need to look elsewere to build for the future. And sho should PL and FA.
  6. How about giving some comments on what I wrote? Based on what I read in here, the grammatical level is already appauling. Personally, my excuse is that English is not my first language. Not even my second, and I do not live in an Englishspeaking country. Regardless, I wrote it rather quickly, and I will make sure it is more up to your standards in the future. I do however, expect snidey comments like that to be followed by an actual response.
  7. The only reason for Dalglish to be given another year is our hopeless romantic dream about the King saving us, and for the principle of continuity. BAsed on what he shows from the sidelines, how he utilises the squad, how he assembled the squad, how players are being played out of position, how helpless he is from the sidelines when we are all watching someone tear us a new one. His use of fomations, his usage of Carra. How he asssembled a squad to play a football that does not fit them. It is all a shocking experience for any suppporter. For all we know, Kenny is not the one to blame entirely for the acqusitions last summer, but according to him, he has had the last word. In my honest opinion, I think it looks like Kenny is trying to build i club for 1980. He pressconferences has changed a lot, and he clings onto excuses about thin squad, too many cupties and injuries , long term focus bla bla bla, and success in the cups. This is not about unluck. What he does as a manager is not up to the sandard we require today. Although it hurts to say it, we need to stop living in our past, and build for the future.
  8. Surprised people want to change Johnson at this time. He is a good player, and although people are not 100% happy with him RB is one of lat pos that need to be adressed. We need a CM, CB and an attacker with skill. thrilled that we apparently have been watchin Lucas Moura Da silva. A senstaional talent. We should also get in a def midtfielder with strength, stamina, presence, pace, positional awareness and the ability to switch defense to attack in heartbeat. MVila and Vidal are excellent. Martinez too, although he lacks in pace (but so did Xabi). vidal signed for Juve last summer, and will not move, Martinez is apparently being touted by Al Citeh. M´Vila however is still the younger option at 21, at would be an immense signing at 20 mill. these two players would make us vastly stronger. In addtion, Kenny can stop using a flat 4man midfield, Carra should be placed on the bench, Downing shold be replaced by Bellamy and hendo should stop being thrown into unknown waters at the wing. If we have to play Carroll then play Suarez and bellamy wide in a front three, and use any three of Adam, Gerrard, Lucas, Spearing and Hendo centrally. Just please please please stop playing Adam-Lucas in a central duo. Together they are appauling.. use 3 centrally in midfield,
  9. Comolli was reportedly at Sochaux-Lyon. Once again we are being linked with Algerian Ryad boudebouz of Sochaux. Anyone seen him on a regular basis? Looks skillful, but rarely beats a man with sheer pace, which I think we really need. Was reported interest during the summer to at 7 million. I hope he is faster than my impression suggests if these rumours are true. I think we should try Loic Remy. Can play on the wing, but has the physique of a striker. Quick, skillful and strong enough to cope with PL. I hope we are aftr Boudebouz becuase they sincerely appreciate his attributes, and not that heis the "right" pricerange. After all, the owners have yet to contribute with a cent of fresh capital. Hopefully January will prove that they are willng to invest heavily.
  10. In regard to attacking talent we are way behind Spurs, Arsenal, Scum, City and Chelsea. Without Suarez we are appauling imho compared to our rivals. another point is that we have yet to see the owners spend a signle quid. the costs are actuallt 1 million less than before. So it is premature to expect them to do this, and even if they do, I certainly hope KK has limited influence on targets. 442 and our flat fourman midfield like yesterday is as creative, fast and skillful as a League 2 side. May be premature, but I do not like what I see and the signs KK is showing.
  11. Important to remember that the changes made to the squad add up to 1 million pound surplus.. naturally, this restructuring of "assets" shoudl have yielded far better, the club has not spent anything because we sold off players of age at high salaries. It is mreley a restructuring lowering the wagebill, while increasing depreciation and amortization costs. Personally I wonder what January will give us. It hopefully should give answers to how FSG regard Kenny and DC with financial support, and I am curiou to see how KK and DC adress our current issues. We need several signings all over the park, most notably in centre midfield and a creative skilful attacking midfielder/winger who can create something on his own. January will be interesting because if this is not adressed ASAP, we will never finish top 4. The quality added by the recruited players (dsregarding enrique), is abysmal, and almost shocking. It is a harsh thing to say, but even if I would love to see Kenny be the man behind the success, I think he still recruit ad play football like it was 1980, without any signs of changing. Once again, january will give us some pointers...
  12. haha... Cahill and Hoilett have 6 months left come Jan. Meaning they would move for a fraction of their price unless their respective clubs believe they will be pivotal in their struggle for survival (like Adam and Blackpool Jan 2011). These clubs should accept a transfer, and the price mentioned at 10 is probably too low, but not as far off as it may appear. I think 15-20 could get both to be honest. At least if the clubs at least consider their financials. Bolton has the fourth highest debt in PL if I am not mistaken.
