  1. I'd take Pulisic, think Klopp would have him purring. Injuries would be the only concern. I could see us not buying anyone also, and going with the remaining 4 plus Taki and maybe Kaide Gordon. Doesn't seem to be alot out there in the market, and could see Klopp thinking there are maybe one or 2 promising players that could be worth signing next year.
  2. Abraham isn't an upgrade on Origi. He's an Arsenal player
  3. Sadio has been superb for us for the last 7 years, and I think you begrudgingly accept if he wants to try something else in his career. But it does sound like he's being a bit of a bellend about it and unfortunately these things do slightly take the gloss off, when the dust settles.
  4. Reached the stage where we'd all rather he went I think. And it may get to the stage where we look back on Sadio and Mo as great players yes, but not 'legends'. Cause this isn't how legends behave
  5. Yes those are the 3 most famous number 9s in world football. Which of those aged 29-34 are we going to sign for the transfer and wages they would cost? I'd also say they fit the criteria of linking play and being able to hold the ball up rather than bullying defenders. So who, who we would actually sign, is out there who's equal of better to Sadio at 9?
  6. There aren't many 'number 9s' in the best teams in world football 'bullying' central defenders any more. The ideal one would be one who can link the play, hold it up back to goal, and run in behind. Nunez looks like he could do that but would need to adapt his game a bit. The player who best fits the description as a number 9 is Sadio Mane and that's the problem we have. We already replaced him at left wing. How do we replace him with something as good as or ideally better at number 9, with the money and wages we are willing to pay
  7. Talk is that Sadio will be replaced. Think we can rule out Kane, any pl striker so the likes of bamford etc, so who is there out there who is the sort of player we'd actually sign? I like the look of Nunez but he's definitely raw and would take time to embed. And I think given the fees and Utd going in for him you can rule that one out. Not sure about Nkunku either...there's not alot of players left in the market?
  8. Why would he call that wonderful news
  9. Sounded like he's staying to me
  10. Think there may be a tactical element to it. There's so much threat on our right from Salah and with Trent that teams are double or tripling up and closing the spaces and angles they work in. They still need to find solutions to that of course. The benefit to is if we get it right to us is it should free up space on the left of the pitch where we are getting more joy, it's just how we switch the play and use the ball effectively to take advantage of that
  11. Not a great look this. Poor timing
  12. I thought the 'were on for the quad' narrative was a bit silly when the league has never been in our hands, but I haven't really seen anyone trying to knock us down since the draw yesterday
  13. I'd say given hendo plays 1 in 2 now and milner barely plays that this is already happening. Think we can probably expect a new midfielder will arrive in the next year, that's the next 'evolution'
  14. They've still got to go to wolves and west ham and get something..
  15. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/may/07/pep-guardiola-i-would-leave-manchester-city-if-club-hierarchy-lied-to-me Very weird thing to say
  16. Looks like we just ran out of steam there. Wasn't happening for us
  17. Could be a washout. Hope not, hope not
  18. To be honest I was watching that interview on BT sport thinking he needed to stop talking. We as a club already know we wanted Real Madrid and to get revenge, we don't need to give Jake Humphreys and Rio Ferdinand their soundbite to be turned into clickbait and rechurned 10000000 times over the internet before the final.
