It’s always been pretty much rigged. Plants in the audience from early doors. Always the right leaning side of things. I never bothered for years after 97 as all seemed good. I reckoned on England using this tour looking to try and find a reliable opening pair with the ashes coming up. Credit the windies for not allowing that. We probably have the poorest opening pair in cricket as it stands. Fuck it give it it to Roy and Hales. Limited but at least attacking. Root,Mo,Jimmy and Broad only proven genuine test cricketers in that team. Maybe Stokes too I suppose.

In the good old no holds barred 1970’s a few Millwall fans got stabbed in the toilets at goodison. It wasn’t Salahs finest moment in a red shirt but nevertheless Zaha, Vardy and Kane have recent form for this kind of thing. They mostly all got a walkover. Pick on the foreign kid. It’s easier. Clean sheets win you titles. As much as I’d have preferred a cosy 3 or 4 goal canter yesterday it proves to anyone doubting us that we are the real thing. We can grind wins out even when homes teams sit back. Big Virg and the keeper have made us so much harder to beat. Two great signings.
