  1. hmmm not the most appropriate term to use mate come on peeps, sign the petition please
  2. Personally I think Evans was 100% correct about Torres in the March period. I don't know if he is 100% correct about Haung but they appear to be largely correct. Fans have attributed facts to them which TB and TE have not said. I do not think it takes a genius to figure out that Torres will leave if the club is headed for mid table mediocrity and these cancer are still here come Xmas. Fans may not like to hear it but it is the reality. While Tony does express his passion and perhaps he should not be saying Torres will leave in January at this time. He should say play his hand more cleverly and ask the question will Torres stay, it would have a better effect in my opinion. You may not like what he has to say but lets be honest about what he has said. The club is f*cked if we dont get the Yanks out - no rocket science there. Top players will leave if we don't get the Yanks out - no rocket science there either. The board are posturing to get a better deal for the Yanks - would you doubt that, I dont? Does anyone trust RBS to do the right thing by us? I don't, they consistently serve their own interests. The 60m penalty the club will have to pay come August 31st is proof of that - it will make the club even more expensive to buy. Do you trust Purslow and his fantasy football approach? The players don't, they think he is a cock - they are not interested in his politics. So Tony is saying Torres will leave in Jan, maybe he knows more than he is saying. He is after all a very passionate fan and I suspect he has not printed some gossip about players for the same reasons I see ITKs on other forums avoiding answering questions about it - it is damaging and only serves to distract fans from the real problem, the Yanks and our board. Personally I think Liverpool fans should never spread gossip about players, it damages the club. Sorry if that comes across as a bit sanctimonious for a new member but Tony is not the enemy and in his own way is doing everything he can to help the club. Personally I think the Times are correct to print what they know, it's up to the board or other papers to disprove it - so far they haven't, all scaremongery has later proved to be false, example the FT later editing the online fake CIC denial, the Kenyon shite another example. So for one while my post has been a bit long winded and shows my frustration, I would rather have Liverpool fans tell us what they have been told about bidders rather than hide it. I really don't understand the need to crucify them for doing so. And the argument that is being used to back up the criticism is that Tony was wrong about Torres and Gerrard in the summer. He was 95% correct but being passionate he overstated the case. Instead of saying they are definitely leaving, he should have left it at "they were considering leaving" which wasn't exactly a secret.
  3. Yeah, it's one deadline after another, a never ending nightmare. I really wouldnt be surprised if this is still going on next summer.
  4. You are quite right, while many would love to believe the Chinese were right for us, we can't be sure because we dont know the details. The only thing that reassured me about them was that RBS and the board were allegedly confident they had the money. If CIC are the backers, then there may have be a political motivation for them, as the British and US governments have been hammering the Chinese to invest in the UK and the US. If they were not then there is serious doubt about him imo. The thing that really scares me is that a bid will front the money in an escrow account just to gain control of the club, then the money disappears and we are leveraged again. Or come Oct 6th, someone will buy the club and only just have enough money to cover the RBS debt, as would appear to be the case with the Rhone group. Even scarier is the thought of being in a Leeds situation where do not know who the owners actually are. While we might agree there should be radio silence during the negotiations, after this we need full disclosure. I don't appreciate the Purslow attitude that the fans should shut up and keep their noses out. It's our fucking club not his.
  5. I don't have the last set of accounts in front of me, but the auditors basically said the current situation is not sustainable. They said that in the previous report also. The club is now in negative equity, worth far less than the debts, if Bascombe is correct the debt to RBS and KF exceeds 400m now and set to increase by a further 60m in the coming weeks. We wont know for sure until the accounts are published next year but we do know it wont be pretty reading. The big question I want answered is what did G+H spend 50m on in terms of the new stadium. Basically we have only a few jpegs to show for that 50m. Where did the money go? One question, who originated this October 6th deadline, was it the two TE and TB or was this a Purslow leak?
  6. We will see if Broughton keeps his word to do what is "best for the club" but I am doubtful, I don't trust guys who are so smarmy. Personally I think the idea he will do the right thing to protect his reputation is bollox. I hope he will but for me that is just spin. If he helps the Yanks, his reputation will be enhanced in the eyes of other c*nts like them and that is the circle he moves in. If he gets RBS their money back, they wont care what happens to us, they will ride out the storm and move on. Broughton will do the same. The players will go or be pushed out to pay off debt. We are the poor f*ckers who will be left to pay, as we are the only ones who care. We the fans should be seen (cough up our dough) and not heard. However, if by some miracle he does work a miracle for us he will be the British hero who slew the evil Yanks. Broughton can't lose in my opinion.
  7. I agree, he went a bit far. I am just thankful that he controlled his anger enough to not repeat some of the stories that were doing the rounds. But he is a fairly high profile Liverpool supporter, he doesnt do us any favours by blowing his top and getting carried away. It diminishes the campaign against the Yanks.
  8. Evans is a passionate fan and maybe a bit of a drama queen but he was correct about Torres considering his options in March. Torres calling for investment in the playing squad would tend to back it up. Purslow meeting Torres over the summer would tend to confirm it. However his claims Torres will leave in Jan if there is no sale is highly speculative and really he should know better than to say it. His passion is getting the better of him unless he does know something?
  9. Myers is saying the KH bid was too low and the Yanks wouldn't agree to it. RBS and Barcap were reported to be happy with the KH bid. Broughton told us the yanks couldnt block a "reasonable offer" which he spun to mean they couldnt block a sale. Playing with words to calm the masses.....I dont trust him.
  10. They did a great job hunting out Rafa, but when it comes to the Yanks, they barely have a word to say...Dalglish can't say much given his position but I would have hoped he would resign in protest. I find it very disheartening that my childhood heroes have not engaged in the campaign against the cancer afflicting our club.:|
  11. Don't think he will ever make it in the EPL, seems to find it all a bit tough. For once I think the club is right to loan him out and try get a decent price for him later.
