  1. I know. Only Glen is fit in terms of our current fullbacks so it makes sense to take the younger lads out even if they are not going to be used.
  2. Were not in a strong position to dictate terms today. I would guess the new deal or whatever it was was based on our previous strong performances in Europe. When does the current deal run until? We could do with balancing the length of contract against our ability to switch kit makers for a better deal.
  3. Yep. Lucas would look out of place playing for Barca although no where quite as bad as Mascherano has been. This is one of the things I have great hopes for going forward with Coady. I want to see him improve his distribution, body shape to recieve and distribute and positional play in CM. We have the staff who know how to make these improvements stick and I hope he takes it all on board and comes into the first team as a long term CM player. Not just defensively but with enough skill to push the team on to win games.
  4. All true but how much time and space is afforded playing for Barca than for us? If Busquets gives the ball to a team mate he knows it will stick and he will get it back. We are some way from that type of comfort in possesion.
  5. I don't think Busquets would make it in our league. I think he would be good in the games against the top sides in exactly the same way Lucas is.
  6. Busquets with Xavi and Iniesta ahead of him and Pedro and Messi out wide and David Villa up front and Alves and Abidal pushing on from the full-back position. Even Roy Fucking Hodgson could play the holding role in that side and not fuck it up. Compare it to the car crash we have been for the best part or 18 months and it looks a whole lot different. As I said before anyone playing the role Lucas has been for us would have been slaughtered for the general crap we produced in that time frame and that doesn't even incude the fact the who-ever took on the role was replacing Xabi Alonso and was going to be compared to one of the best midfielders of the current age. Only Bastian Schweinsteiger might have been able to come in a give us most of what we lost but even he would have struggled to replicate Alonso's brilliant last season. We, as fans on this forum in particular, are guilty of longing for something that we will not see again. Xabi won't be coming back and there are so few other players like him that we should move away form a style of play based on having that player type dictate. We need to move on.
  7. Not much difference really. Busquets would have been as ridiculed and slaughtered playing for us as Lucas has been over the last year and a half. Busquets is not going to drag a team to victory through his skill or will to win. Thats what Xavi does for Barca and Stevie does for us.
  8. I like Lucas. Think he's come on leaps and bounds and is a good player. Is it a mental thing where he lacks motivation against the dross in the league?
  9. Sorry mate that post is unreadable. Can you tidy it up or maybe stick in some pics of the stats?
  10. Admiralty law which is what the judge was trying to use prevents him from responding to the request to verify his position. He would have no problems if he were to be using common law since his oth would not be in conflict. At least this is how I think it works/does not work if you get what I am trying to say.
  11. I would like to steal some time with her cunt for sure.
  12. FFS its not as if his fucking leg has fallen off is it? I hope the little twat has a think about all of his previous antics and realises that ref's don't give a shit about his theatricals.
  13. Smalling and the Tangerine man never got to grips with Kuyt. He was a couple of yards quicker in his head and his body actually responded. There's been loads of times when I have seen what Kuyt intended but he just physically doesn't get there or makes a mess of things. Today it all came good and then some. Get on those back-heels with Suarez at the end there as well. Long may it continue as well.
  14. I hated every minute of Avatar. 0/10. Are all the Cameron's of this world thieving cunts?
  15. I know he's a twat but that is a bit extreme. Just give him swift kick in the cunt.
  16. We need to do what Milan did with Desailly and improved his shape when receiving the ball and his distribution because Coady still plays like a CB when in midfield most of the time. He's young though and we have time to work on this stuff. Defo needs games in the first team since reserves football is a joke.
  17. My worry stems from the fact that the superclass will have the edge even if the big kick-off started. I agree that the cunts who we see as being responsible will be the ones pulled down and the real power will simply morph into something new with different flavour and the voices like me and you shouting that the "work is not done" will be drowned out by happy time crap and all the while the superclass will be laughing their collective cocks off while they position the next set of cunts to do their bidding. As for the "people want to be comfortable" - yeah I understand. But what is comfort? They play us off against each other with consumate skill. I had a recent encounter with two young lads who claimed that people like me had too much and by the time they were in their prime they would have fuck all to look forward to. Surprised me with the resonance to comments that I made to Mrs E about the fact that I would likely work until I was 70 because there would be no pension or care provision for when we were older and we compared it to what the baby boomer generation were now getting. Money is the root of all evil. Those who control money are allowed to perpetrate absolute evil because the power it gives them corrupts them absolutely. Why do so many kids die from starvation every day when there is no need? There is no profit in solving this. No velocity to money if there are no losers and the game is rigged. We need to find a way to turn the game table over and break the cycles that bind us on this path. We need a new model to work within and we need for the secrets to be brought into the open.
  18. I wonder how long they can keep the slow atrophy of the quality of life going before people on mass realise they have been shafted? In some ways it's a work of art that we are now closer to living as the serfs did in the dark ages than any time since when you look at how few hands really hold the wealth and power across the globe. It's all well and good saying we need someone to take on the tories and their sham liberal lap-dogs but what will that achieve? The cunts have made the systems of the world so complex and convoluted that any meaningful shock will drive the masses into panic and you know that the same cunts who hold the power now will be the ones standing there holding out their hands, via their minions our "elected representatives", with the solution. It will only be years later that the people will realise they have chains around them that they will never break.
  19. It's all coming out in the wash anyway now that we have the recent court ruling. Broughton, RBS and BarCap between them must have worked out exactly how to make sure their hand stayed on the tiller. Once the side letter was agreed by the sindey dwarf cunt Gillett then they were doomed. And as I said earlier in this thread can we all just stop fucking around and acting like a bunch of spoilt kids. We got what we wanted and yet we still have to try to kick the crap out of each other. It's over - let it go.
  20. Once upon a time in a footballing galaxy far far away...Igor drove around in a white van which if memory serves me was a ford escort. I have never seen Igor's Millenium Falcon in person but heard about it at a home game towards the end of Geds last season I think. I have no idea why he was driving it or if this is some kind of urban legend. Mental when you think he was on over £20K/week.
