  1. As well as physicals there should be a football intelligence test. Some geek fans surely can create one and send it over to Melwood. That would have warned us about Balotelli and Lovren. They now need extra classes and homework, and to take resits before next season.
  2. The managing hire and fire circus means there always will be managers available. Klopp's availability makes him an exciting prospect, but do you remember how we played them off the park at Anfield in August? Rodgers at his best gets us playing exhilarating football. Poor striking options this year have prevented that, as well as Stevie's unfortunate demise. I don't believe Rodgers chose Balotelli, not from the way he almost laughed at the suggestion last summer. Last season has surely earned him another one, but this time with the attacking options we need.
  3. Carragher last year were raving about him. This transfer lark may not be as easy as it looks, but perhaps he will come good eventually. He needs to use his brain more.
  4. Coutinho Henderson Mignolet (While absent Skrtel and Sakho appreciated even more)
  5. He'll come out flying. I want a celebration akin to Fowler's on the white line.
  6. But when he's fit he's bloody tasty and not afraid of a crunch
  7. Got to admit Van Gaal has done his job. Interestingly, it is mostly with Moyes' team, so the manager is the difference. Having said that, his transfer record is shown up by this.
  8. United are also a huge corporation and their fans have been cuntish towards us for much longer. I always want them to lose, including today. I lived in Manchester for a decade and found City fans nowhere near as bad. After all they are their second enemy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Reminder today not to to hope they do any favors now that Moyes has left the Mancs.
  10. He's much more of a flashy hothead than Joe
  11. Just want to say Lovren grew a lot in this game. We always knew he is brave and doesn't hide, but he also cut out silly errors and diving in. Clean sheet and win. Roll on Geordies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. And then came Mario instead of Benteke and countless others we'd been linked with
  13. But if we don't beat Blackburn it will be of ore use to Spurs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Fanchester last month predicted they'd crumble . Not sure what I want from their derby -- draw? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I thought he would be a brilliant signing, so I'm not going to trash managers for bad signings, except the obvious like Balotelli by our transfer committee.
  16. Sakho and Can were the bright rays outfield for me, with the former being our side's man of the match. Time and again Sakho was making good blocks and passes. Apart from his cards, Can played very well. Watch again. Not their fault they had Toure and Moreno as liabilities alongside them, but let's give them proper credit. I fear for Wednesday with Can to be replaced by Johnson or Lovren. What happened to Flanagan's recovery?
  17. Our "progressive" owners' transfer committee, I believe. If ever there was a no-brainer of a transfer last summer that was one, and the poor sod even flew to the States to have his medical. Now we worry about players wanting to stay...
  18. He played for a draw today, or hoping for a pacy smash and Grab. We'd never play for a draw at Anfield against them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Sakho Mignolet Can Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Agreed. This is why Brendan said this is a "must perform" rather than a "must win". Who could have dealt with how Arsenal played today? They have to be asking themselves why they aren't top. It was "must perform" because our final position is going to depend on West Brom, Hull and Stoke away, and we need to start performing well enough to get those 9 points away as well as the home points to get our maximum, and hope one of the others falls away.
  21. I hope that will be the case on Saturday.
