It's an impossible question to answer without knowing who would replace him. If new owners come in over the summer and provide him with a transfer kitty sufficient to balance both the first team and squad, then we may be glad that Rafa had been afforded patience and perseverance and that the club avoided the upheaval of a new manager wanting to clear out the squad to make room for his own players

It doesn't seem that long since the first class leadership of Chairman John Smith and chief executive Peter Robinson. David Moores has a lot to answer for, allowing Liverpool to be overtaken and left behind by our main competitors under his watch and for sanctioning such a catastrophic sale of our club. How I wish we could turn back the clock twenty years.
