I'd say he's been our player of the year. I think a fair few of us worried that we'd seen the best of him after last season, but he's mostly been back to his best this season and has led the team brilliantly. Anyone calling him out now is surely just venting out of frustration at the team's current form and results.

I think that's beyond doubt, to be honest.

A few shouts for Mac Allister, aside.

Not just any roast, a roast with two frozen burgers as the focal point.

    burgers? Are you sure?

Might be chicken cutlets or something. But looks breaded to me. Surely fish is a step too far in this situation even for CD...

  3. Israelis are not all jews and not all jews are Israeli. Not sure how Israeli voting patterns can be used to excuse comments about the "victimhood" of people over the course of hundreds of years.

Riley's a fucking idiot by the way. "I wasn't using prejudice to assign blame for an unfolding tragedy before knowing all the facts, I was just deflecting attention from said tragedy to fearmonger about potential tragedies that I actually would (potentially) care about".

Great, that's all absolutely fine and perfectly normal then...

edit: and totally believable, of course.

We lost 3-0 and 1-0 at home right after, in a season where we were accumulating results at a very high clip.

Think what you want, the Quansah thing killed us.

Maybe if I hadn't watched those performances and the ones before where we threw away the fa cup and barely scraped passed SU I'd be convinced but I did so I know that's bollocks.

This season was a perfect mix of 19-20 and 13-14. Tremendous ability to get results and accumulated a bunch of points, while at the same time giving off the impression that it might not be sustainable.

And then also, the Quansah thing is the most obvious turning point in a season since Gerrard slipping. Something else probably would have sunk us anyway, but the parallel's are there.

Is it fuck. Our inability to finish simple fucking chances and our poor passing in general is an issue. Quansah was part of that, but there is no single "turning point".

  6. I get Chris's view, really. If it weren't for Klopp leaving we'd probably be looking at this season as being a positive one in terms of a rebuild. Lots of young talent coming through, done well across multiple comps etc. It's only the announcement that turned the expectations to "you have to win things now".

Don't get Chris' Trent comment though, we have been consistently conceding the kind of goals that were routinely blamed on him and he's not even been on the field. Bit harsh to throw shade at him now.
