Phew, avoided the Derby record. Was a bit worried.

    Can't believe Bruce hates freedom...

    Trent Alexander-Arnold

Sure he'll be pissed off about getting dropped, but James is a very good young talent as well and having a very good season. Mad that Trippier is still in the scene though. Walker you can accept, even if he is a fucking idiot that you know will make mistakes when under pressure. Southgate really should make sure he has two of Trent, James and AWB in every squad regardless. The fact AWB isn't even capped is honestly pretty surprising (has he not committed to England or something?). Both Trent and James will likely offer midfield depth in the future as well. Anyway, I think the Covid affected Trent's game and he's only just gotten over it this last couple of months. Of course, Southgate didn't pick up on that when he included him in the last squad... He's probably based the selection on Trent's training performance back then, rather than pay attention to how he's actually playing right now. But, hey, he's not a good manager. What can you expect? Trent will benefit from the time off, the more of the side around for these few weeks, the better.

Yeah, the doppleshambles made it through, my main side is off to Thursdays nights. A glowing endorsement of my tactics.
  6. Comfortably Revolver for me, even if I do end up skipping Yellow Submarine these days. Abbey road has possibly the greatest pop song of all time, but other songs are not my favourites.

CW: they do the songs. So, keep that skip 15 seconds button ready. Treebeard's is especially painful (that voice singing both sides of a duet...).

    The GF book thread

Continuing from the audiobook theme, I've found a "podcast" on Spotify called 'An Unexpected Journey'. It's a quite well-produced reading of The Hobbit and LoTR in full. Been good background work noise.

Yeah, I'm pretty confused by just how catastrophic my team's performances have been, but also pretty amused at the sheer chaos of it.

Love how my doppleganger side is tearing it up.

Actually, that's a good point. @Bruce Spanner What are the roles assigned to my players?

Maybe I should have looked at my tactics again. Thought my side was decent, but this is getting a bit ridiculous.

I would like us to attempt to sign McNeil. Been thinking all season that he's taken a big step forward. Gets hardly any opportunity to make an impact statswise due to the way they play, but his work rate is really good (as you'd expect from a player getting chances under Dyche). Could actually see him develop into a midfield role for us. Could even cover Robbo in time. This is my half-baked, can't even be arsed to watch Motd these days opinion.

Products long gone you wish would come back.

Great quality control too, all this for a quid! Had a running joke with a guy at work that we'd randomly pick up the odd bag and compare how many bags you actually get. I won. Edit: bit sad how little I had to scroll through to get to late 2019 though...

Just spotted Neuer got injured as well, thanks to Anies' "elbows out" forward tactics. The git. So, yeah. GOOOOOOOOOOD.

2.45 xg??!? Bullshit. I'm off to break something.
  20. I'd imagine some need the atmosphere to get the adrenaline flowing.
  21. Yeah, other than when deciding what to do and doing it, he had a decent game.
  22. Mess of a performance, but a win!
