It’s good to read that it’s still boiling and it’s not my Covid that is making me sweat my tits off. Went out in the back for some “fresh” air and it’s still warm and uncomfortable to breathe in. Decided to whack the outdoor tap on and spray the hosepipe around to get a bit soggy and it was like getting a shower - the water was really warm, bordering on hot. Must've been from where the hose had been left in the sun. Those 18 and 19 degrees showing on the forecasts for 1 in the morning can’t come soon enough. You can tell it’s hot as the “it’s just summer” knob on my Facebook has gone from that position on Sunday to, today, refusing to send her kid into school as they’re (allegedly) not doing enough to keep the kids cool.

The whole hierarchy of racism stuff makes for uncomfortable reading.

Home & Bargain cheapos, them! I thought it would’ve been the Indian mango wood and ceramic storage drawers from Shared Earth on Bold Street (just next to the antihistamines) that would’ve gave off the fancy-pants vibes!

Must be the perspective. I’ve got proper meat hooks.

It makes you think!

It’s finally got me.

Yep. A young lad who came to the match with me and my mates whenever there was a spare ticket died with this about 15 years ago. His ma heard a bang while he was upstairs on his computer and shouted up to tell him to stop making noise and the bang was actually him falling from his chair, dead. Madness. Pureloon won’t acknowledge this though. Or that there was a pre-Covid drive to make defibrillators more readily available in public places. That’s why people think he’s a crank. He’s so divorced from reality and is effectively a conspiracy theorist.

You absolute legend. I can confirm that the link is still working!

I’m not playing your silly games which will no doubt involve some sort of semantical argument. -

Accusations of people weaponising antisemitism? Does anybody know when Margaret will be suspended and have the whip withdrawn from her? Consistency, kids… -

“For all intents and purposes.” Socialism isn’t dead. But, it’s an ideology that the Labour Party no longer seem to be following and there’s no other socialist party which could come anywhere near forming a government. A lot of people saw Corbyn as offering hope and someone who could deliver real change to the country. And who could actually get in to power to implement that change. They might have been mistaken. But, he came close. Will anybody else ever come that close again? I seriously doubt it. So, for me, the idea of a democratic socialist government is now a massive long shot and that idea is dead in the water, with democratic socialism once again being relegated from mainstream political thinking to being more of a fringe, around the edges movement. -

People need to stop complaining about the current weather. It could be worse. We could be having really heavy snow. Imagine having to shovel snow in this heat!

Just watered the plants in the back. It was in the shade, so wasn’t too bad, but warm still. And, a weird warm at that. The air is totally different to how it usually is. It’s warm and there’s no cooling benefit from the off gust of wind. I did enjoy putting the hose on the mist setting though and squirting it up into the air to fall back on to me. Lovely!
