  1. Yeah, mixed emotions about Gakpo for me too. He was bollocks yesterday and there’s been other times when the pace of things has looked a little bit too fast and frantic for him. But, I feel a bit for him too. He’s had games for us where there’s clearly been signs of ability. He strikes me as a player who can’t really change or influence a game with a handful of minutes here and there. Not like Núñez who’ll come on and cause chaos no matter how many minutes he’s playing (still fuming at him for his fuck up yesterday) or Jota who is also effective from the bench too. And therein lies the problem, long term, for him. Hasn’t been overly effective from the bench and seems better when starting in a run of games but he’s not doing enough when called upon to justify that starting berth. I think he might be gone in the summer. All depends on what the new manager wants though.
  2. And that tree looks awfully like an upside down octopus, with its wide reaching tentacles! Corbyn knows what he’s doing!
  3. Trees have branches. Banks also have branches. Global banks have lots of branches. And money. This mural is depicting an antisemitic trope. Jeremy Corbyn is an antisemite for posing in front of this mural. Yours, T A Oberman, London.
  4. Some relatively lengthy sentences for the angry mob who’d probably bombard the house if they’d heard that a paediatrician had moved into the area. Oh, and I’m simply not having it that the 47 year old bloke is 47. Did they get the numbers the wrong way round? https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/faces-seven-men-locked-up-28840347?fbclid=IwAR2Fu8OMxAY4t7nFJ0oOcj6Lw2pS9tinR8-W9u-9ELN3KTnMO-idx7fA3CY_aem_AZgQ2Zx-uRsJ0gmdkxvlH6q_3TKP-sXi3pHqTdq6OtzDskCzMHd_AcZkbSWNJpQFWYQ
  5. The UN Food Agency have said that a famine is “imminent” in Gaza. The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, was speaking about this today and made it patently clear that it was a “man-made” famine. It’s collective punishment by starvation. But, remember, if you see any distressing images of emaciated Palestinians, with their ribs visible through their skin, it’ll be thoroughly impolite to point out where and when we’ve seen such images before.
  6. One arrest… They could’ve arrested about 40,000 of the vile cunts. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13207721/Arrest-Man-United-Liverpool-tragedy-chanting-FA-Cup.html
  7. The biggest certainty of the day. Which is quite a massive certainty when you consider that Putin is running for reelection in Russia today.
  8. Probably could’ve done better. But, he’s still been excellent for us since he came in.
  9. We’ve only got ourselves to blame for that. A failure to kill the game off when we were on top at 2-1 up was costly. You knew what would happen when we missed chance after chance. And Nunez needs the riot act reading to him in the dressing room for that ridiculous play for United’s third. In fact, fuck it, he’s to blame. It’s fucking stupidity. Gifts them an equaliser and the impetus when all he needed to do is roll a five yard pass to Tsimikas. Knobhead.
  10. Decent enough save. But the area he pushes it back into is atrocious. He gets enough of a hand on it to push it behind or out wide. He instead pushes it right into the 6 yard box, centrally. Not that I’m complaining, like!
  11. I was nervous before the League Cup final. I was nervous before the City game. I’m not nervous about this. If we turn up and play our game, we should beat these comfortably.
