Keita had managed to get injured, this time before the warm up to the seasons first game. It’s going to be a season of breaking records again.
He’s just ill no?

I think that's a good deal and we should take it. Have you seen some of his defending?
He’s young enough to develop that part of his game, no? What/who would we spend the cash on?

Only going to include players I’ve watched.
Best
1. Virgil - Best centre half I’ve ever seen. Worth every penny.
2. Mo Salah - Already one of the best players we’ve had.
3. Alisson - Best goalkeeper in the world.
Worst
1. Markovic - We paid £20m for him and he couldn’t even get a game for Fulham.
2. Balotelli - Awful first season and couldn’t give him away.
3. Keita - I like him as a footballer but he’s our 4th most expensive signing ever.

Watch him more. He's brilliant. When fit.
I watch a fair bit of Arsenal, I have a soft spot for them, as I lived in Angel for a bit. He’s a decent enough left back, not near as good as Robbo or even Tsimikas.

Kieran Tierney is potentially going to miss out on being one of the top LB's in the world if his injury problems persist.
That’s a big call, as he’s shown very little at the top level so far.

Can't believe Bernado Silvas ugly fucking rat face wasn't included
Yup, it’s neg-worthy.

"One for the hipsters, him. Watch the games and he's terrible."
Obvious sarcasm? Haha I don't follow you around at all. I wasn't even talking to you I was replying to Babbs.
Calm down.
I believe that’s a dig aimed largely one poster. IIRC Arnaud and 3 Stacks were raving about Tchouameni and then said poster called Tchouameni him as a hipster player because in the one game he watched Tchouameni he wasn’t very good or something like that. Not naming the poster as I don’t want to reignite an old feud between said poster and the Ligue One lads; 3 Stacks and Arnaud.

Have him over Xabi?Ceiling - Thiago
Longevity - Xabi
I reckon that’s pretty clear cut and difficult for anyone to argue against in good faith.

Cancelo is a brilliant footballer. After the previous 426 left backs they’ve bought it looks like they’ve finally got a good one.
And he’s a right back!

Cancelo wearing no 7 is pretty wild.

That’s a legit goal IMO. He didn’t look offside either.

Caught the last half hour. Mo is an absolute superstar, Nunez looked real dangerous, Naby had a nice cameo, Elliott needs to practice his weaker foot, Jimmy Milner is a machine.

Bernardo silva is a crying rat cunt.
A very good player, but really poor fit to the spirit of the PL IMO. The sooner he leaves the for Spain the better.

How’s Bobby playing?

This… doesn’t make me sympathise with him.
There are Gascoigne stories where you can see he took things too far (hiding a fish inside Gordon Durie’s car, telling the Lazio chairman that his daughter had nice tits, “Fuck of Norway” etc) but he seems like a puppy that bites with over-excitement.
Both Gazza and Stan beat women, both have mental health problems, but it’s an awful lot easier to warm to Gascoigne. Just because you’re mentally ill doesn’t mean you’re not a cunt too.To be fair you’ve also made Gazza look like a total cunt there.

So with Ox injured for 3 months (and probably useless thereafter) and Morton (likely and hopefully) going out on loan, here are the number for MF
Fab
Thiago
Hendo
Keita
Milner
Elliot
Carvalho
That’s 6 midfielders for 3 positions, two of which are youngsters, one of which is 37 and many of which are often injured.
We haven’t played 4231 once in preseason so I think 433 will be the go to once again. Surely we need another MF before the window closes? We’ll need 2 minimum next season if not, as Milner, Ox and possibly Keita won’t be around.
I promise I’m not trying to be a smart arse but If you’re saying we need eight midfielders outside of Ox for the three positions, then you need to add Curtis Jones and count midfielders you’ve listed properly, there’s your eight.
Also, Milner is not 37 until 2023.

Curtis Jones.
He really needs a good season. Especially now with both Harvey and Carvalho as competition for the attacking CM roles and they’re both younger than he is. Almost a make or break season for him.

It’s amazing the seemingly large amount of rival fans tune in to watch our pre season games. That comes with being a great team I suppose.

Werner is such an advert for the eye test and psychological evaluation of transfer targets. On stats and profile alone, almost everyone thought he was a top player.
I never rated him and said so at the time.

Having watched a bit of Carvalho and Elliott, I’m more relaxed about our midfield for the upcoming season. I still believe that Maddison is a decent “moneyball” option for midfield. His output is better than Grealish’s but would probably cost about half.

Alisson; Trent, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Elliott, Thiago; Salah, Diaz, Nunez
