  1. Another great post Dave. Agree that the decision by Kenny to let Suarez take the penalty was inspired. He may have missed but it was a clear signal of solidarity in the face of all the shite we've had to endure over the past few weeks. Credit to Suarez that he persevered and didn't let his head drop after missing the pen.
  2. we'll perform against the mancs as we normally do(win, lose or draw) mainly because rafa's job will be done for him in terms of motivating the players. all the players will be up for the mancs because its the mancs. thats not really the point though is it? rafa , as manager of our club, is to get the players up for every single fucking game. just as taggart does when the mancs regularly stuff opposition they should be beating every week. this is a fundemental part of rafa's job and something that he's clearly not up to at the moment. for those of you who disagree. can someone tell me exactly what our manager is doing to improve this situation. he's not doing his job and neither are the backroom staff that HE employed. rafa's comments on body language prior to the Lille game had no effect whatsoever. gerrard and torres were clearly shaking their head and pointing the finger again. (even dirk was doing it, the f*cking nerve!) the issue we have is a complete refusal or inability from rafa to react to situations and games as they develop. its almost as if he visualises how each game is going to pan out in minute detail before every game. when things start to go tits up he simply doesnt have a plan b or have the bottle to try something new. he persists with zonal marking, he persists with playing lucas and masch in central mid, he persists with insua who looks completely out of his depth. as a manager your ability to react is how you earn your money and he has a look of someone who is completely devoid of any new ideas at the moment. DO YOUR JOB and if you can't then walk away.
  3. Hopefully one of the little twats will have recorded it on their phone and they'll be showing it around enough to get collared. Makes my blood boil.
  4. Ive got loads of respect for Wayne Bridge for refusing to shake that pricks hand. There must of been loads of pressure on him to take the morale high ground and get on with it but he reacted in the right way. As I was watching the game yesterday i had a conflict of interests in terms of wanting Man City to get nothing out of the game to help our own cause but an overiding feeling of wanting to see Terry and his snidey mates get embarassed in front of their dickhead 'Team Terry' fans.
  5. Couldnt agree more. All the hard graft we put in against Spurs counts for very little now as its 2 points dropped. I know what Rafa is going to say 'The players were working hard and we were controlling the game'. We werent Rafa we were playing fucking Wolves and you didnt have the bollocks to play a midfielder you spunked 20 million quid on. Even when it was obvious that there was fuck all creativity coming out of our midfield you shit out and played for the draw. Decisions like this cost us the league last year and will end up with us finishing 6th at best this season.
  6. This will keep happening until Rafa builds a team that doesn't rely on Torres and Gerrard. People can point out times when we've performed well without them being on the pitch ie against the mancs last season but to believe anything other than this is just fucking wrong. It's been clear to everyone that Stevie and torres have been unfit for weeks now and the strain of trying to lift us out of this shitty form has taken it's toll both mentally and physically. Raga needs to pull the biggest fucking rabbit ever out of his sleeve over the couple of weeks either in terms of performances or transfers. If he doesn't he's gone and this season is over. End of.
  7. Ferguson will try and ruin the refs career in his post match interview and, as usual, the FA will do fuck all. Leeds throroughly deserved that win and our current squad could learn a bit from the way they worked their socks off for each other.
