Ox is coming along nicely, I think Jurgen sees him as Coutinho's replacement which is why he took us all by surprise and signed him when he did. Obviously he's not a like-for-like replacement and will never be as good but he doesn't have to be as long as he's feeding our attack, pressing, creating chances and running willingly. He's a different type of player and will only get better under Jurgen.

More or less sums it up for me, I rarely go to the games now and don't buy the merchandise and I've pretty much lost faith we will ever be Champions again , When Steve and Carra packed in I can't even say I have that much affinity for any of the players now, I suppose I still care out of habit and I haven't lost my love of football but it most certainly more about building value and profit than winning, Obviously there is a balance to be struck but to my mind it's not spending what it takes to be the best but spending the minimal amount required to keep the fans interested and the profile high, The whole Coutinho thing was a massive wheeze which cost the owners nothing, Telling Barca to get fucked resonated well with most of the fans and diverted attention away from the fact they were not spending what was required to improve the team , He will go next summer anyway.

Improve the defence, get a striker, find a solid midfielder.

 

Instead he buys another left back, doesnt play him, then spends £40m on a wingback who wants to play CM but instead brings him on as a winger with 10 mins left.
