  1. Is it wrong to feel I'm not bothered we made the final ,I'm very patriotic, but I just carnt stand any of these players ,barring Henderson, my only wish was it was the team of 90,96, or even 98 propa footballers with characters

  2. Absolutel negligence if we don't improve squad and starting line up,I'm not talking loads of player 2 or 3 would do .If we don't with the other teams that have improved we could be in a fight for 4th ,and if we miss out on that, that is a disaster going forward and that is not on the realms of impossibility. They have billion pound asset you spend to accumulate they would still make a massive profit by protecting there asset with a bit of investment

City fans used to be ok until they struck oil. Newcastle fans are already arseholes, it doesn’t bode well at all.

They are aswell ,gobby cunts going to be a fucking nightmare ,if it's true they will win the league, with them backing them ffs

More minted than City's owners. It's why FFP needs to be strict as fuck otherwise football itself just becomes another stable for Saudi princes.

They both will find away around it ,leaves teams that try to go it the right way like us pissing in the wind

It's not that obvious. This could end up being another of those owners who says he has the financial backing of sovereign wealth, just to get the deal over the line and feed his ego that he now owns a high-profile football club. Once the ink is dry on the contract, it will emerge that he is the 5th cousin twice removed of the person who is actually wealthy, and that he doesn't have anything like the money needed to make Newcastle competitive.

Well if he is minted bad news, they are  going to chuck a load of money at them ,and we will never hear the end of it, cause they are gobshites I work with a load of them

  6. Well dunno about you guys, but Allisson doesn't look like an £80m keeper to me.

Takes uneccessary risks, a bit aloof, accident waiting to happen. Big lad, good shot-stopper, but for a world record fee I'd expect a rock solid goalie.

Well you carnt tell me in world football we carnt pick a decent keeper up that doesn't cost a bomb

  7. Cheated how fuck off they were better and got rub of green no excuses

I just don't see how you blow 100m on a keeper and that changes everything.

What if Olak or Alisson makes two blunders? You saw the latter from the game against us.

    What then?

Stick with the fucking cunt and improve the areas that are more concerning.

Whenever we make a sub or get an injury, the sub takes us down a level. Our bench might as well be a bunch of kids they've picked from the crowd because the level they add is below what's expected. There is nobody there who can do what Bale did tonight.

Karius fucked up, granted. If Salah doesn't get his arm dislocated does the scoreline change? Pretty sure we score more than 1 goal as the threat from our right remains there beyond the 25th minute.

Shite final. Cheated but I'm not taking my anger out on Karius.

  8. I'm not an expert in these things but if those figures are right I think it seems OK. Not great, but OK.

It's kind of hard to compare fairly because several of the clubs around us are clearly using the shirt sponsorship as a way to get extra money into the club without falling afoul of FFP so it's skewed. City are the most egregious example but Chelsea are probably doing some finessing of the numbers as well.

Spurs are supposedly getting 35m/year for theirs, but I suspect even that is not true as it wasn't widely reported. United get 53m/year, and that's probably the closest comparison apples-to-apples to ours, so 40m/year for us in that context is roughly fair given the head start they have commercially.

I would have hoped for 45m/year, but 40m/year isn't that bad. And it's only a 4-year deal, which means we can renew earlier and for a lot more next time. The interesting one for us going forward is the deal with New Balance, which was recently renewed, but only for one more season.

You'd have to think with us back in the CL as regulars and looking up for the future, there will be a lot more interest from the more traditional kit-makers. Arsenal's deal with Puma also expires next season and if things continue on the current trajectory we should be a much more attractive prospect for Adidas/Nike (or Puma looking to replace Arsenal?). They currently get 30m/year from Puma, so if they're looking for a bump from that and we get even more it would be a pretty big increase from the 25m/season we get from New Balance right now.14 min

When does the new balance deal finish ,wouldn't mind puma as we never have had it and they will need a big name now arsenal are going with someone else

  9. Still believe that the plan was Coutinho out and VVD and AOC in all along as soon as club knew Coutinho wanted gone.

AOC was secured at end of summer window and Cou was convinced to stay until Jan and then VVD arrived and Cou was off shortly after.

We'll see what money get in summer but i for one will be amazed if it is 'the coutinho money' as that has been spent IMHO.

Unbelievable isn't it trade cuthinho for aoc ,only liverpool could even think that could work .How to blow up your season ,fucking joke

Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  10. Nah - you are just conflating two issues. If Coutinho stayed then VVD was still coming.

Do you think I would like to think so , but there track record is not good spending big without selling, only time will tell i hope your right

  11. Aye, we do. Totally agree.

But I don't see the point in the criticism? VVD & Keita in, Coutinho out. A good keeper next - but no second choice in January.

Yes it looks good but realistically in the summer if that money was not earmarked for them too ,how much money will we have to spend, cause last summer we spent hardly anything for a club our size .Go's back to net spend which is 20 million a season with these chancers, they will not deviate from that without selling for big money to reinvest

  12. Call me cynical but , if we get keita and van dyke id say there's the cuthinho money done even if there paying extra to bring in .There is no way we are rolling that money over into the summer obviously that s been the plan all along for that money , people are thinking we have that money and the money we have got for him no chance

Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  13. Yeah and what is Keita doing now? He is wanting to move now and his form has plummeted. People underestimate the stink a player wanting out and keeping him makes. It is not co incidence Southampton have been shit in the first half of the season.

Really good point , I think most of the negativity me including is that we have sold one of our best players at a crucial time of the season ,and if we don't buy anyone which like it looks as though we won't we have made ourselves weaker and has that money always been earmarked for van dyke and keita. And the way it's been handled ie that photo shoot that has come out today with the mail and we have supposed to ask to loan him back ,makes Liverpool look so small time ,Well that s how I think about it only time will tell, but I don't think chamberlain and lallana are going to get us out of jail where cutinho could in an instant

  14. Absolutely gutted to see him go now.

Even more so if we do not buy anyone, playing with fire if we think we won't miss him for the rest of the season fine margins he could of been the difference between 2nd to 4th in the league

Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  15. Let's see what they do with the money. If we spend the Coutinho money on a goalkeeper and attacking mid, with the Keita and VVD money on top, then I'd be satisfied we weren't just selling to buy.

However, if we haven't lined up some sort of reinforcement in this window, then I'd be a bit pissed at the planning aspect.

I'd be satisfied with that, but always seems we are getting somewhere then we fuck it up .And people can say what they want you take him out of our team and it is going to hurt us for the rest of the season .I was optimistic but now the feel good factor ie van dyke has totally gone

  18. Or, alternatively, we're about to buy a Coutinho replacement and a new goalkeeper.

No one has a clue. It's like trying to argue climate change based on the weather today.

In my opinion, van Dijk was part of last summer's budget and Keita's not being paid for until next summer, so we have some money to buy. Whether we'll buy a replacement now or wait for summer remains to be seen but I would be surprised if we haven't spent another 80m minimum by the end of January.

Obviously, your opinion is different, but neither of us can prove it one way or the other until the end of next summer. So why not just cool it for a bit and wait and see what happens?

Thank you for reply fair analysis is still think that this money has already been earmarked,Why would you make your team weaker for the most important months of the season

  20.

Can someone do some maths over say last 2 yrs of transfers fees received fees paid and say income we should have to reinvest off say commercial deals and tv then we might know if we are going to spend that fee or is it already gone on keita and van dyke. I think the latter if that is true then what have we become .selling your best player mid season top 4 chance and still in champs league watch the freefall now
