I’ve not read any of this thread yet but I am looking forward to later.

I was lucky again in the ballot and me and my son went. Honestly, it was just like at that stage everyone just thought “eff It”. They need us and we need to help them and gave it everything.
Was a very special moment, one of the best for me.
I’ve got goosebumps watching this, me and the boy sang that with everything we had. One of my favourite finals I’ve been to.

rhythm section absolutely in the pocket
I remember first hearing this when Massive Attack did it, for my shame not realising it was a cover. I then heard it a few years later on 6 Music and it stopped me in my tracks when I clicked what it was.
I love that song so much, pure perfection. I’m not mad on the lead vocals on this one but the band kills it. I’ll stick the original on here for those that have not heard it before.

With 3 minute rounds
They need 3 minute rounds, it'll cause more stoppages and the interest will increase. Woman in mma started with 3 minute rounds and it was soon changed to match the men. 5x5 minute rounds for title fights and main events, 3x5 for other fights same as men
I said earlier in thread I don’t like them and agree, MMA doesn’t do the short rounds for the ladies and see no reason Boxing shouldn’t do the same.

I’d happily watch that again, that deserves to be played back. Credit to both of them, cracking fight.

I think Mayer has got this but you never know. Great fight.

Very entertaining fight, enjoying this.

I really don’t like two minute rounds.

Here’s the clip of Jurgen treating the presenter like a knobhead. Which he was.
Cut him off at the knees, foot on the neck and refused to take it off. I back that 100%.

That's my point. I watched Oasis at Finsbury Park in 2002 and The Charlatans were supporting them.
Oasis, Blur and Pulp (Possibly Suede but earlier) dominated the 90's. The Verve should have reached a peak but didn't.
I know most on here don't like oasis but they were without a doubt the best band this country has seen since The Beatles. Not just their music but that whole thing. They released an album of b-sides that was better than anything in the 90's except Nevermind and All Eyez On Me. That's after Definitely Maybe which in my opinion is the best album of all time.

Got my Model Y today, very pleased with it. It doesn’t half shift.

Space were a bit shit, certainly not in the same league as some of the others you have mentioned.
Seen all of them live back in the day.
Not my cup of tea in the main but … I first met you hanging knickers on the line from that moment on is great opening line.

My mate Steve has been touring with Squeeze for a while now, playing percussion and backing vocals.
His main gig is Dirty Vegas, you might know this one, won a Grammy back in the day for it as well.

Elliott was magnificent and must be knocking on the door of the first team.
Always puts a shift in, hard not to like him.

I met him once. Was sat in a Filthy McNastys in King’s Cross 1996, he was drinking pints of neat Bacardi, slumped in his chair. Every now and then he’d perk up and break into song and you could hear a pin drop in there. Proper sad, a genuine talent.

I’m becoming little obsessed with Slowdive. Saw them recently and was honestly one of the best gigs I’ve been to recently, a rabbit hole I’d recommend if you haven’t. Souvlaki is a great starting point.- 1

I had a beer with him when I was at Uni, during the period when he went ”missing” to force his move to United.
He told us it was all agreed and Newcastle asked him to do it to save face. He was pretty sound in fairness.

After what we all went through there, I agree with this. I’ll never forget the look on my Son’s face that night, especially after us getting charged and slammed back by riot shield police at the gate just as we were getting in.
He’s was 14 and the day after was his 15th birthday. His first European final, should have been a birthday to remember. I find it hard it to think about it even now to be honest.
