  1. I knew we were loosing today when our best player Mcallister cold’unt even pass wind in the first half.
  2. The arsenal result just makes it feel worse (todays result) if anything, although it does give us a possible lifeline .
  3. That var intervention might be the worst of the season, the manc var collective in full force.
  4. Big Ange's half time team talk ' maaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttttttttttttteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee'
  5. We need him to be good for the run in, he did inject a bit of impetus when he first came on in the second half were we almost scored hes got an engine theres no doubt but everything seems rushed whereas at the start of the season he was silky smooth
  6. Same here its was frankly a bizarre finish only matched by the one against the mancs a week earlier. Only explanation is that he tried to dink it and totally fucked it up, the best option was to round the keeper.
  7. Love the guy, but his misses are staring to cost us, with a more clinical striker the last 2 results could have been very different the counter argument is that his goals and energy have got us to this point of the season and we would probably not be in this position without him. He needs a good finish to the season if we are going to win anything eles this season.
  8. I think if we score early in the first half in Atalanta it could get interesting, plus I doubt we will play half as badly, so it's far from over.
  9. I still think Arsenal will implode theres no evidence to suggest they wont.
  10. I'd blame our 'medical team'
  11. Szoboslai's still young and learning the game and we have very high expectations of him given his start to the season. I think his general pressing play and passing was ok yesterday, but some of his attacking play was criminal given the positions he found himself in. That was his moment though and he messed it up unfortunately. He should have buried that chance that their keeper saved although it was a good save he should not have been given a chance to save it. Something that stood out yesterday was the weight of pass seemed off from all of our players in the final third.
  12. Simple really, you have to kill teams off when your on top or they can come back to bite you on the ass. Our front 3 where all off it in terms of finishing and incisiveness yesterday, you can afford to have one off it, but when they're all off then this is what happens. I think we were all sat there seeing the first half unfold thinking this is a familiar story against them. I doubt we will play an easier team to dissect all season, it was just taking one pass and we were running in to acres of space with 3v2's 4'3's. I think games like this show you the true calibre of the team and players and when it's a clutch game or season defining games and moments are key. Unfortunately some of our new boys fell short in this test, Nunez and Soboz in particular where very very wasteful and some of the decision making was terrible. There where others also but these 2 players, this was their moment so to speak as Salah has done it before and although he was terrible, possibly our worst attacker, there is the ramadam thing and also he's just got back from injury and have to give some credit for the pen. I think City are favourites to win it looking at their fixtures, Arsenal and city might drop points but we are also likely too, so we've lost our buffer now and need perfection to be in with a chance. Can this team do it? I think a lot depends on how fast the returning players can come in and get up to speed we are going to need them as we have tricky games. Our only real hope is that city and or arsenal get distracted by the CL and the pressure will build every game from now until the end of the season. You often get one or 2 unexpected results or games where the favourites concede first, it's how ourselves city and Arsenal cope with these moments. There's another argument that we responded well to going 2-1 down yesterday, which I agree with. Even at 2-1, we kept plugging away and could have scored right at the end with Diaz or Elliot having chances. Let's keep going and try to win every game and see where it takes us. We are still ahead of city and if we can keep it that way then i believe arsenal will slip up at some point and will be back in control going into the final couple of games.
  13. Oh quell suprise watkins and martinez straight back in, they threw that city game
