    Why on earth is the World Cup taking so long - 6 weeks for a 14 team tournament? Ridiculous - so India/Pakistan don't get knocked out. What's wrong with 4 groups of 4, top 2 go through to the quarter finals. Could be over in less than a month. Doesn't really grab the public's attention like the FIFA World Cup, or to a lesser extent even the RWC. Can't see England winning it - but it's about time the Saffers won a big one.

    Cycling is probably the biggest sport in Belgium - and Tom Boonen (aka Tommeke) is the biggest sports star in Belgium. Add in Eddy Merckx, Stijn Devolder, Roger De Vlaeminck, Mario Aerts, etc

    Same here, I'm into Rallying more than F1 - problem with the 'product' in Rallying, is there isn't really one, especially at WRC level - it's been on it's arse for about 5-6 years. The people in charge tried to make it 'F1 on Gravel'. Didn't work. The best Rallying is the Historics - fantastic stuff!!

    What would they have done had Villeneuve retired with car damage, caused by Schumacher's attempted 'take-out'? Also remember qualifying the day before - 3 drivers with exactly the same time, down to a 1000th of a second. Are we expected to believe that? Didn't then, and still don't now. F1 is still too much about 'The Show'......and Bernie's money making - meaning boring tracks in the middle of nowhere, watched by 3 men and a goat. Whilst the 'classic' tracks struggle to get finance to pay to hold a race. Ridiculous!!

    Agree, I half-chuckled at that Motson comment - why was he entitled to go down? When did the rules change? The game is going softer by the week.....back to watching the NHL...

    Think you're spot on there - football/sports grounds need to open 24/7 - and have all kinds of entertainment, shops, etc Can't see that being possible with the current set up. But I'll respect whatever FSG do, they've impressed me greatly - as their track record shows.

    Was gutted, but not anymore, he if couldn't see the progress happening at the club, then that's his own hard luck. The timing stank however, and for that I'll never forgive him. Adios....No one is bigger than this club!! Good luck to Suarez and Carroll....onwards and upwards and always looking forward!!

    Never really been able to get into it. However, I have ESPN as one of my main websites, and so I'm semi-aware of what's going on. Miami Heat @ the Knicks was on ESPN before, so decided to watch it. Thoroughly enjoyed it - will be watching more from now on - don't have a team yet, though I used to go either the Bulls or Rockets on NBA on the old Megadrive game.

    Yet another in a long line of shocking decisions that favour them. There are 3 certainties in life; death, taxes and dodgy decisions favouring Man Ure. When will it end? Honestly, it has to end, somebody or something has to happen; either a Manager pulling his team off, going the FA, High court, Court of Arbitration for sport, etc Funnily enough, they don’t tend to get these decisions in Europe…….

    Penalty 'non decision' made all the difference. But why are we surprised? Ref should have made Rafael run it off... Bollocks..............spawny lot.........don't even deserve a draw let alone a win. The league is a joke - you're simply not allowed to beat them......

    The guys are a different breed, mostly insane, and that's just the short course riders. The guys who ride on the roads need certifying, completely mental - but must have balls the size of beachballs. Anything goes wrong with the bike and most of the time that's it - an afternoon appointment with the undertaker. Go on YouTube and look for any Isle of Man TT, NorthWest 200, ManxGP, etc Bike racing is a different league to F1. Also love the off-road stuff as well, MX-GP, Enduro....

    I just get the impression football thinks it can do what it wants, and sod the consequences. Let either of them move into it, but they have to keep the track - there are other sports in this country apart from football. Why not let athletics, cricket use it as well. The whole thing is a joke!!

    Not forgetting the New Jersey Devils. Ah Brooklyn, where the Dodgers used to play, then moved to LA. Not forgetting the New York Giants who also moved to the west coast and became the San Francisco Giants. US sports are great - far more competitive, and better run than sport over here. And no relegation...!!
