  1. Forgetting that it involved Warnock - a truly shocking decision, but yet another one - remember the Spurs 'Goal' at OT - that was about a foot over the line. Considering football is the World game, and it looks down it's nose at the lesser sports - it's not half living in the 3rd world when it comes to decisions/technology. If I'd been the Manager, I'd have pulled the team off the pitch in protest. It's just nor good enough anymore to let blatant mistakes like that stand.
  2. I'm another one to agree with you. Heard the interview with Geoff Miller this morning - DOH!:wallbutt: "We saw Ian Bell get a century at Trent Bridge and he played well...." What is wrong with them? Idiots, yes he plays well in County cricket, put him in Test cricket and he falls to pieces - and he's meant to be playing at No3 - so if we lose an early wicket, another will follow pretty soon. Well that's the Ashes gone - safety first and conservative never wins.
  3. Katy Perry - as mad as a box of frogs - but sooo HOT!! You couldn't say no - It'd be rude not to....
  4. No, they won't - if it was Australia in England's shoes, then they would. They're not afraid to takes risks in an effort to win, England just won't/don't take risks - there is one of the differences between the sides. To win, sometimes means risking a loss, which is what England need to do to win the Ashes - they may as well lose the Test tryingg to win it, instead of safety first guaranteeing a draw.
  5. The only ton Bell is likely to get, is of he is called on as an emergency bowler!!
  6. There's no need to pick Bell again - there was no need to play at that delivery. He's a complete waste.
  7. What a shocker - hit outside the line of off stump, and got an inside edge and given out. Terrible decision. Sorry, but I wouldn't walk - absolutely stinks!
  8. Agree, Bopara has indeed been an immense disappointment - he's definately not a No 3, he's far too loose for that role. Saying that, Bell isn't a No3 either - he has all the technique, but not the 'ticker' as the Aussies would say. Who do they pick for The Oval? As there is a good chance it will be 1-1, and a win is a must. Yet again, 1 session may have decided the whole series, a la Jamaica in February.
  9. They are what I would call 'epic'.........
  10. Some mighty films there - remind me of my teens.
  11. Don't like the sound of either Cattermole or Poulsen - they're not what I would call 'Liverpool players'.
  12. Totally agree, completely detest them - I mean, even Baconface hates them - who do they think they are? Where has all this money suddenly come from - did Perez find it growing on the trees one morning? As for Xabi - he's obviously not a proud Basque, as he'd have nothing to do with that shower.
  13. Oh no, not this again. It's just about £$£$£$£$£$£ and nothing else. It's greed and it's sickening, it has nothing to do with sport anymore. Sorry, I'll stop ranting.
  14. Repeat what everybody else has said - a real Gentleman! Extremely humble and modest, says it all when virtually, regardless of club affinity, everybody has expressed their sadness for his passing. It's just a shame there are very few people like him in football/sport anymore.
  15. I'm glad he's out - how he has won 2 Grand Slam events I'll never know. He's got to be the joint worst ever winner of Wimbledon (with Richard Krajicek). Agree about the annoying Aussie fans, just warming up for the Ashes.....
  16. At least Cycling is tackling the problem head on. Other sports say they are Testing, but it's nowhere near enough - are you listening Football, Rugby, etc
  17. Great match, but that form is a long way from winning Wimbledon. He does play some sublime shots, then makes the most basic of errors.......
  18. Too true. Forget the T20, their Test form is miles better than Englands. Winning in South Africa after losing a close series at home, which could have gone either way. Now compare to England - losing away to Windies, then beating them in early May, when they didn't want to be here.
  19. So the fixture computer is random? Really? Who just are they trying to kid? Six seasons on the bounce playing away is not a coincidence. And Man Ure playing a home fixture against a crap team is not a coincidence either. Honestly, while we just have to get on with it, it doesn’t make it right. Is it not beyond the wit of the programmers to write something into the program that takes into account previous seasons – and therefore if you play away on the opening day 1 year, you play at home the next year. As for the Super Sundays, mmm, how are they random? Surely you only need to do the fixtures for half a season – the second half should be exactly the same as the first half. Instead of the nonsense of playing a team twice in the space of a few weeks – ridiculous!!
  20. I suppose all money is welcome, but they're hardly 'Blue Chip' are they? Liverpool's lack of sponsors is a mystery - probably the least in the Premier League. What the hell has been going on......
  21. I was aware that Franco was an Atletico fan, but loved shafting Barca because of the Catalan connection, and even made them change their name from FC Barcelona to CF Barcelona. And I'm sure he stepped in with regard to a big name signing (di Stefano??) - Barca wanted him, and so did Real Madrid, guess were he ended up?
  22. The majority of their success came with Franco in power. Hmm, a coincidence...??? Where do they get all their money from? Something stinks.....The training ground farce is another example of them getting away with murder. As for their media mates - and the "This is Anfield - So what?" Go and bugger off - tinpot club!!
