  1. For those of you who would dance on his grave, are you sure he's dead?

If I had been repeatedly warned and there was loud chorus calling for my banning, I might have registered under a different pseudonym, well before, just in case. I might have even discussed it with the admin as the best way to help him out and continue posting on here...

Exactly. He'll have more alts than a Kazakh keyboard (surely standard practice on a forum with so many 'special' characters) and seems quaintly proud of the silverlining brand, so I predict he'll break cover pretty quickly.

  2. What ever happened to appointing managers that were qualified, that don't need time to settle.

Oh yeah we don't do that because it can be expensive. Sorry my expectations accidentally rose a little then.

The reason xerxes loves Rodgers so much is their lingua franca, Empty Bullshit Business Speak. Going forward, there will be verbiage galore! I reckon Brendan too announces to all and sundry when he returns home: "Just back from the match", the sharkfaced cunt.

But seriously, quit living in the past and start going forward, brah.

  3. We are mid-table. If things don't improve and Rafa does well, people will be calling for him to replace Rodgers.

Those people should already know that is an impossible scenario.

If Steve Clarke's success at West Brom continues, will that "ratchet up the pressure on Brendan"?

  4. On the contrary, I think he will do well.

He is a very good football coach, but bad in the Boardroom, and at Chelsea his focus will soley be on the pitch for half a season. They have a good side , with every prospect of a decent league performance. He can concentrate on what he does well and will have no involvement in what he does badly. The fans will react to results- as all do.

The trick for Rafa will be to do well this season, and then “do a Hidiink”, decline the permanent position with his reputation enhanced and rehabilitated.

It is easy to forget that when Rafa joined us his English was basic, his experience of dealing with the media limited, and his media contacts zero. Now his English is excellent, he has spent a lot of time cultivating the media over the past couple of years and his media experience far greater, he will do a far better job handling the media this time round and will enjoy it ( and being the centre of attention).

Why will his appointment "ratchet up the pressure on Brendan"?

It's not as though we were vying with Chelsea under Di Matteo so what difference does this change - which will arguably make them stronger - make to Liverpool Football Club? We already have a coach.

  5. For anyone who can be arsed to read it there are some interesting points here, on a gooner's site. For starters he fucked up all 10 of his red card decisions last season.

Out of interest, has he ever passed comment on Hillsborough or is he under any kind of scrutiny about his time served in the SYP?

Fucking hell, some effort gone into that blog.

They reviewed twenty of our games last season (revealing some unsurprising Webb results):

REF REVIEW 2012: Liverpool – only half the penalty calls were correct! « Untold Arsenal: Arsenal News. 800,000 visits last month

The events early in the season really look very strange to me. What was the reason for this sudden swing in the bias numbers? Why was Liverpool suddenly being targeted in some games when going first in the league? Who didn’t like this?
  6. Looks to me that we are looking at selling one big player. The owners want their 20 mil notes. All their calculations are based on chompions league qualification. Agger used the last of the bog roll now Pepes sitting on the crapper and hes really pissed. Rogers wrote BOOM! on the toilet roll holder and if tha whole thing goes he may not live to smear the spanish wine soaked gazpatcho gumdrops you cant even curl one out very dry and break it off with your hand without a few pounds of semtex. Itd be enuff to make you crap your pants if they werent round your ankles. Anyway thats the reason. To engender a transfer oh he wanted to go and I dont want no one you aint see him. Right? What happend to your eye? I fell. etc.

If you play Brad Jones and refuse to slaughter him with no regard for people on waiting lists for limbs and organs they could make better use of. I would want to speak to a manager if abRad jones tried to serve me in macdonalds. Id be very pleased if this man were to loae his job and helpout in a pool hall or repairing bycyles cos hes a good lad. Bit simple. And I doubt Rogers is playing him and injecting laxative into Reinas chips while pissing on the consignment of toilet rolls for the good of his health. Its all part of the plan. h regard to donors who are on waiting liisps like Roy Hodgland Engson manager who lost his some years ago and has resorted to his nhs funded peices of grass between his lips in order to pronounce his credentials to an attentive FA comittee. I mean Brad Jones has many uses. First team keeper is not what God had in mind when he made this human door stop or bookend.

  7. Honest opinion... you're NOT a bit shit.

Fans seems to be going from one extreme 'top 4 material' to another 'a bit shit'.

You're a capable side, and can give anybody a game, but clearly unable to mount a sustained challenge on anything at the moment. Which leaves you mid-table.

Arguably that IS a 'bit shit' for Liverpool, but in the grand scheme of things, you're still a good side.

I think you're at least 3 quality players away from any hope of top 4, PLUS you're going to have to find a serious replacement for Gerrard in the next couple of seasons too, and deal with the potential of Suarez moving on.

That's just for the first XI, let alone any strength in depth.

The task Rodgers faces is significant, and it's being glossed over (imo).

Maybe some of the youth will come good. But that's a few seasons away at least before they can hope to match the top clubs, and there's no guarantee they will.

FSG are going to have to spend. There's no two ways about it. Only they're going to have to spend extremely well too.

    So... not 'a bit shit'

Just facing a lot of hurdles, and the odds aren't in your favour.

Ah, nothing like being patronised on a Sunday evening to make a fan feel alive!

Out of curiosity, why was your 'honest opinion' not available to read on here when City were 'a bit shit'?

  8. I got hold of "copy" to try before I buy, and I am still not convinced it is any different than pevious years gone by.

However I am enjoying playing it more than those.

Haven't plaed i online which is what i would mostly be doing it for as this "copy" I "lent" won't allow me to. So what's the opinon of it's online capabilities?

It's a marked improvement on last year's (barring a fuck-up a couple of weeks back with the Online Master League results) but if you can't discern any difference between PES 2012 and this one then sticking with FIFA is your best bet, especially if online play is your thing.

  9. Always been a pro evo man, fucking loved it bought every single one and have been devastated at the last couple.

This one is near perfection,i thought the game was finished but how they managed to make this one in comparison to the last years is amazing

As the OP says the AI is outstanding I have even spent hours playing the Become A Legend mode and it is as near perfection as football games get.

Look into downloading patches as i have it setup where i nearly have every kit, name and badge even have 75% of the German league spot on tho got a mate to do it as i dont have a clue think he bought a memory stick of ebay with everything pre loaded.

Best football game i have played in years, although you do have to spend a bit of time fixing it up.

Last year's iteration frustrated me because the germs of a great footy sim were there it was just suffering from some of the same flaws which ruined every Pro Evo since 2008.

With this one it looks as though Konami decided to stop chasing EA's tail and have slowed the default gameplay a lot, and have really nailed it. Never saw the point in PES trying to ape FIFA because one casual pick-up-and-play footy game is enough, never mind the fact all recent efforts have been terrible: videogames (of any genre) don't come much more broken than PES 2009.

Due to weight of numbers, FIFA will always be king for its online play but nothing beats a long Master League career.

  10. Can see this is just gonna be me and the tumbleweed but...

have been buying FIFA ever since the shocker that was PES 2009 but I always pick it up when the price drops so end up owning both by the season's end - last year's showed definite signs of a franchise being dragged from its knees and the new demo convinced me to go for PES first this time and it's superb (if you can overlook the jarg names *rolls eyes*).

You can download custom option files to fix that shit but it's the AI which makes the game - and this is the most realistic I've experienced on a footy sim. The improvement in this regard is impressive and you can tell as much even from the demo.

Online has ALWAYS been cack on PES but Konami have made small but significant changes to the Courtesy Level system, so you're not punished for cunts disconnecting. Also, I haven't experienced lag once since playing and I bought it on release.

    So, anycunt still play Pro?
