I agree with all this, except the last couple of paragraphs. I don't want to see anyone get a bad injury. He's a fine player. I would like to see someone stand up to him though. Not get intimidated. I would also like to see him called out on the snideyness, both in the press and in the corridors of power. Today's BBC interviewer totally bottled it with Mourinho.

So irrespective of the Corzola tackle and the fact that Glen Hoddle is a massive fanny...what Glen is saying is that if you have been booked you shouldn't do a legitimate slide tackle. I don't think Brendan will be our manager by the time the January transfer window closes. This isn't down to anything he will do between now and then - it is just down to the fact that his transfer dealings haven't been good enough. I don't believe our squad is good enough, and I think that we will struggle to pick up points this season.

We have no-one inspirational on the pitch. Rodgers is woeful in the transfer market and this will cost him his job.
