    Euro 2020(21)

    Shaqiri scores again!

    Spurs

For us it would be, but for a team where money is no object like City/Chelsea/PSG it's a price worth paying.

    Euro 2020(21)

    Wales in trouble now

    Euro 2020(21)

Italy have been the best team in the tournament so far. Genuinely see them as contenders to win it now.

    Spurs

Kane to Man City would be the best possible move for all three parties. From Spurs point of view, he wants to leave, they will pay big money for him, and they have no chance of finishing above Man City any time soon. From Man City's point of view, they need to replace Aguero and Kane is more suited to a Guardiola team than Aguero was. For Kane it will finally allow him to win something, and City will rest him and rotate him and won't burn him out the way that Spurs do.

    Keir Starmer

The problem is Bercow is one of the most hated figures by the Brexiteers, so it will only make them less apealing in leave areas. It probably would have made more sense for Bercow to join the Lib Dems, and try and continue the very recent idea of Lib Dems going after the 'blue wall'

    VAR Thoughts?

Var in the Euro's seems so much better than the Premier League version. I've thought for a long time that the biggest problem with it is the way it's being used in England, this seems to confirm it?

Hungary take the lead against France!

    Coronavirus

That's a bit harsh on Whitty. He's generally made correct predictions, it's not his fault if the government have ignored his advice?

    Coronavirus

Sorry to hear that mate. My Gf's auntie works for the NHS in Scotland and she has said that are seeing a number of people that have had both jabs hospitalised with Covid. It seems the main concern is that people that were full vaccinated in the opening 2 to 3 months of the year could be at risk as the vaccine has either worn off completely or isn't strong enough to deal with the newest variant? If this is the case then realistically we could be looking at some form of restrictions for the rest of the year. It also explains why we will need the Autumn booster.

    Summer 2021 transfer thread.

Sergio Ramos to leave Madrid. City, United, and PSG being linked.

    Euro 2020(21)

I think I'm right in saying the only way Italy would face England is if they both get to the final, and I don't see England getting that far. It looks like a Belgium vs Italy quarter final, should it all go to form. Pre tournament I would have backed Belgium, but I've changed my mind now.

    Coronavirus

Israel have today announced that masks are no longer required, they have no restrictions in place at all now. I thought that's where we were heading?

    Coronavirus

What am I missing here though? In the UK over 30 million people have now had both doses, around a further 16 million have had 1 dose. Are they suggesting that the vaccines won't work? From my own perspective, I had the first dose (Pfizer) on the 6th of June, the second one is booked in for the 22nd of August, should I be looking to bring this forward?

    Coronavirus

The main difference between the second wave and a potential third wave is that nobody was vaccinated at the start of the second wave though?

    GB News

Same. The worst thing people can do is start commenting on it and sharing clips pointing out how disgraceful it all is. This is exactly what they want!

    Coronavirus

Are you planning to live a sheltered life and self isolate/socially distance for the next 6, 12, 18 months? It just seems an odd gamble to risk the effects of the virus vs the risk of the vaccine?

    Coronavirus

Have they explained why the rest of the team hasn't collapsed?

    Pundits

His old MOTD teammates Hansen and Lawrenson would be pissed off as well.

    Summer 2021 transfer thread.

Mane with 2 years left on his contract valued at 70 million. Mbappe with a year left valued at around 100 million.

    *Shakes head* Everton again.

Don't bring me in to it mate.

Which drugs should be legal (supply and possession)

That's a good point, and I strongly believe that the addicts shouldn't be punished when it's clear that they can't do anything about the addiction and the criminality of it for them is essentially irrelevant. Yeah I'm sure it is. I won't claim to know lots about it, but I know that some Methadone users also continue to use Heroin as well, so it doesn't really solve the problem.
  23. MegadriveMan

Which drugs should be legal (supply and possession)

A heroin substitute, used to treat heroin addicts? It's not something that's easily available though, and could be sold in supermarkets the way that alcohol/fags are, which is what legalising heroin could lead to?
  24. MegadriveMan

Which drugs should be legal (supply and possession)

I can't ever imagine any government legalising Heroin! It would be interesting to see if the legalisation of some of the softer drugs lead to a huge rise in the use of them?

    Summer 2021 transfer thread.

If Mbappe doesn't renew his contract, Real Madrid will move heaven and earth to get him next summer, and he has made it clear that it is his dream to play for them one day. Why would Real Madrid give us a huge profit on him when they could pick him up for free? I think the only way we would get him would be to move this summer. Ideally we could offer say Mane plus 30/40 million? As I've said before though, we like the idea of signing Mbappe, because of the amount of clicks it generates and the perception that we could sign him makes us look like we are right back at the top level, but in reality it's not the type of signing I ever see us doing under this ownership model.
