Luton are missing ten first team players. Arsenal always seem to play teams who are under-strength, it's irritating as fuck.

They've got a home game against Bournemouth at the weekend. They're probably prioritising that. Understandable, but as you say, irritating as fuck. Arsenal have got to be the jammiest team in the league. If it's not facing under strength sides, it's flukey deflected winners.

At what time do you think you'll be turning off Arsenal and The Clampits?

I reckon Arse around 28 minutes and City 12.

Might get to catch up on Man Vs Food if all goes as expected.

Watch Brentford v Brighton, safe in the knowledge that you're not arsed who wins.

I wouldn't give it and it doesn't concern me that this one wasn't. Others should have but not this.

It's more of a penalty than the ones given to Chelsea and Newcastle. You could argue that they shouldn't have been given either - but they were. When you factor in the threshold for free kicks Coote had established for himself whenever Brighton players tumbled to the floor, not giving this is pretty scandalous really.

The linesman defo should have spotted that, because they're really good and don't get much wrong. When I watched the highlights I called offside on the first view, as it was obvious and isn't one of those tricky ones in open play when one player is running towards goal and the last man is either stood still or moving the opposite way. This was a bread and butter decision for any decent lino and he should have flagged as soon as Kelleher made the save.

As for our two penalty appeals, there's no way we were ever getting them. They were fairly soft, but softer ones were given this weekend. Coote was never going to give either of them though and with Tierney on VAR there was even less chance of them being given.

I don't really have much of a grievance with either. The Mo one in normal speed did not look like a penalty at all from where I was sat, but after seeing the replay I think it's 50-50. Mo doesn't get those though.

There was an incident late in the second half when Mo was surrounded by three Brighton players and looked to be dragged to the floor, but Coote just waved play on. There must have been something in it as Mo was furious. As you say, Mo doesn't get those - or any decisions seemingly.

I looked this up and seems she has been moralising and giving it the big one about how you should behave on the touchline etc and about "male aggression"....Yet she put her hands on the other manager and shoved him.

It seemed to stem from him saying something to one of the Chelsea players as she went to take a throw (using a different ball rather than the single match ball, which Chelsea themselves had asked for). The Chelsea player didn't like it and neither did Hayes. Don't know what he'd said, but yeah, the shove makes her come across as a bad loser.

Yeah, one of them was on the radio earlier defending it. Apparently, we smelly, unwashed oiks always concentrate on the donation, and never the philanthropy, which is what the knighthood is actually given for.

If we’re making these cunts knights, shouldn’t we be sending them into battle. Or at least hosting jousting tournaments with real weapons.

Was the philanthropy giving £5m to the Tories?

I can't watch anything that's got him in it. TV has to go on mute or else I'd put my foot through it. It's not only the fact that he has to be so fucking loud and over the top, it's that he has absolutely nothing to offer in terms of insight, any knowledge of the game or anything of any interest. He's just there for (very poor) comedic effect, making "hilarious" comments and laughing too fucking loudly. An absolute fucking imbecile. They may as well have that fucking arsewipe who plays Keith Lemon.

It's like he's been employed by a focus group chasing the same demographic that the bbc were when they changed the format of Question of Sport.

City and Arsenal both have to go to Brighton. They always create chances

It'll be interesting to see if every Brighton tumble is rewarded with a free kick in those games. I doubt it.

Look at the 2-2 at the Emptyhad a few years ago as well. Both sides trading punches and going for it toe to toe. A match of the absolute highest footballing quality.

After their humping last year, I get why Arsenal were cautious, City didn’t look like they fully wanted to have a go either.

In fairness to Arsenal, beating your title rivals at home and drawing with them away isn't a bad result at all. The onus was on City to win it and, as many have already mentioned, deal with Haaland and they're pretty toothless (barring the usual refereeing assistance).

I watched the game on record knowing the result and somehow Coote still managed to infuriate me. That was as bad as the refereeing performance against Villa where that cunt deliberately set out to show Jurgen who's boss. As well as the ref we had Sky not showing replays for our offsides and 3 or 4 nothing fouls and finally a non corner that Bradley looked totally bemused by. Even the language the commentator was using was suspicious, calling close offsides clear offsides and then showing no replays

I actually felt sorry for Welbeck, he got booked for telling ref to send off Mac Allister. He must have been thinking why are booking me when we have literally told you what to do for the entire and you have obliged.

Yeah, I'm getting suspicious about this shite as well. I can see one thing clearly on the screen, and a commentator saying something else. Some of it may be confirmation bias, but not all - especially when they don't show it again.

How is one team disadvantaged? Because the defenders don’t have to waste as much energy running back or what?

If one lino is waiting (or not flagging at all), then you have defenders having to make unnecessary tackles and there's a feeling in the attacking team that they're building pressure - especially if they then win a corner that would otherwise have been given offside. There was a moment today where Bradley was flagged immediately for what looked like a pretty close decision. They never showed it again.

It's bollocks. The lines will still come out to determine if it was the whole body or not. Keep it as it is.

I often wonder about the personal and professional pride of the referees in the Prem.  Brighton were taking the piss today and I don't blame them.

Waste time?  Why not? Nobody's going to do anything.

Dive?  What's the worst that can happen? This prick will either give you a free kick or ignore your cheating.

At one point in the second half, Brighton got a free kick and placed the ball about 5 yards infield and five yards forward from where the (supposed) foul had taken place.  The ref pointed really emphatically, two or three times, to where the kick should have been taken. The Brighton player just ignored him and took the kick from the place that best suited him; but for a brilliant save, they would have fucking scored, too.

Coote was weak as fuck today. At one point, Carragher was even suggesting he was being told about decisions in his ear piece.

  14. Just now, AngryOfTuebrook said:

I dunno. By the standards of this place, I'm one of VAR's staunchest defenders, but even I wouldn't want it extended into more decisions.  The real issue today was the lino not doing his job properly.

The thing is, if you have a lino on one side waiting and another flagging straight away (like we seemed to have today), then one team is disadvantaged. The decision wouldn't take that long either.

Absolute prick, he's fighting very low-level opponents. If you're going to do that shite, at least save it for someone good.

Didn't Willings step in at the last minute as well? There's being cocky and there's being disrespectful.

Going to get flat lined this Whittaker when he steps up. Not enough power.

Never have I wanted a boxer to land a lucky knockout shot more than during that fight. Preferably while Whitaker was showboating.
