  1. Yeah, they’re good at what they do alright but we’re making it a hell of a lot easier than it should be
  2. This hasn’t got in any way shape or form better than the first half thus far. Terrible performance
  3. The midfield will rightly get a lot of shit but to be honest it’s been crap all round since the 15th minute. We’re lucky to be level. Almost like the City first half, begging for the whistle by the end of that half we were that bad.
  4. Yeah, felt for him. At the end of the day the European team haven’t gone out here to get a spanking and it’ll hurt all of them
  5. Painful to watch, this. Never thought it was going to be anything other than a US victory after yesterday but nothing like this.
  6. Yeah, you’re not alone in that there were pundits on tv last night saying the same. I just thought it looked like it might have a psychological edge. I’ve seen a lot of comments suggesting Rose should have played instead of Poulter too, personally i think it was a 50/50 call but probably wasnt helped with Westwood earning his own spot as i think he’s the weakest member of the team this time around.
  7. i think the yanks are playing very well but the the lack of European fans is a big handicap to balance out. There’s some great golf being played and less than normal audible appreciation for some amazing shots by the European guys, the shot by Rahm on the par 3 being a good example. It’s why winning a Ryder Cup on foreign soil will always be hard, fans and atmosphere play a huge part. that said, i think that we gave them a hand up with a couple of the pairings in the foursomes earlier. The one I didn’t see coming was Poulter and McIlroy getting tonked.
  8. Poor fucking kid, gutted for him and hope its not got long term ramifications for him.
  9. It’s been nailed on for weeks that they’d announce a contract extension today. They’re as predictable as Echo pieces tenuously tying other clubs doing business as to how we’re saving millions.
  10. To be honest, I’d say that has been our mantra for a good while. We put in a lot of performances like this last year.
  11. Origi has never been worth what we’ve wanted for him. We should have cashed in in the summer of 2019, I’m not just talking from our selfish point of view either, his career has gone backwards and i do feel a bit sorry for him. All relative of course, as he’s still got to take a level of responsibility for his own performances in this time. i harbour similar views about Keita too, getting rid will be beneficial for all parties.
  12. Denmark’s best bet appears to be penalties at this moment.
  13. Absolutely clueless performance by Germany, England are dirt to watch but they deserved that win.
  14. Im genuinely curious to know what the stumbling block to keeping him is, especially when you consider we’ve carried on with Milner to his mid 30s. (not a dig at Milner btw)
  15. In hindsight I can’t shrug the feeling that letting him stay at RBL for that extra season was the worst possible thing we could have ever done. He had a crap final season for them, understandably somewhat given his head was here but we basically brought in a player who’d been dialling it in for 12 months, and came into an intense regime totally unprepared and it’s snowballed from there. It’s a shame, but I think we’ve got to get rid for everyone’s sake involved. Get a decent fee but don’t push it otherwise we’re stuck with him
  16. Agree with this, 4th is actually in our hands now so I’ll be disappointed if we approach this timidly. We are in a tricky situation with the lack of pace at the back so we probably need a near perfect performance from the front men.
  17. The Mancs use of Greenwood and how he’s coming on by constantly being around their first team has seriously got me thinking that we should be doing the same with some of our young forwards. Elliott is going to be going into next season at a similar age and I can’t help thinking that we should be giving him plenty of game time here and spending time playing with top class players instead of another loan.
  18. Yep, pretty much need 5 out of 5 to have a chance of top 4. We’ve shit the bed in the last 2 games from winning positions, and have an inexplicably bad record at Old Trafford so I don’t think pessimism is misplaced
  19. I think the link up play is as bad as the finishing now, it’s the absolute basics that they’re failing with this year. Some of it wouldn’t look out of place in a Sunday league.
  20. We’ve been utter turd this second half yet still could have scored 3. The drop off in our attacking play this year has been shocking.
  21. Even more so taking into account we’ve beaten West Ham twice
  22. Pretty much this is where I stand on him, given the hype and expectations he’s been a massive disappointment and I wouldn’t lose a wink of sleep to see him sold, but I don’t think hes a bad player and it’s been one of those that simply hasn’t worked. This era’s Kewell in a lot of ways.
