    Yeah, my gut feel is that Barrington’s take is right and we should be seeing the knock on savings which surely can be taken advantage of, but it’s something ill be keeping my eye on

    Either that or its going to show we’ve got a lot of overpaid players, which will also beg the question why are we paying so much compared to our peers, cos we aren’t forking out huge transfer fees in addition.

    This performance peaked after about 15 minutes, and went plummeting downhill when we dicked around with the ball for about a minute passing pointlessly across the defence and ended with Trent pinging it across the field straight out of play

    Given our recent form with diagnosing injuries, I’m assuming it’ll be February at earliest before we see him. genuinely can’t recall another season of relentless injuries like this one has been . Not even the year we lost all the centre backs by January was this bad.

    This is a dreadful team that relies on moments of individual quality now. Finishing anything higher than 6th this year means a couple of teams shit the bed between now and May cos we aren’t forcing anything to happen. Leeds, Forest and now this fucking lot have beaten us. Disgraceful.

    It’s obviously not down to Lijnders book, and I’m not particularly superstitious but it is tempting fate to bring out a book named intensity only for the team to seemingly lose any semblance of it about a month later. It just has the potential to invite ridicule to be honest and thats about the top and bottom of it.

    Can’t work out who’s been worse, Trent or Salah. Absolutely brutal.

    Yeah, main frustration is that such basic game plans seem to really neuter us. Sit back, work hard and let us have most of the ball. Time wasting is something that’s really crept in too. Very few midfielders available in world football though that we could possibly entertain to improve this though.
