From Kuntsberg on the BBC-

Just now, Captain Howdy said:Am I missing something here, have the Conservatives not had a bit of a mare?
Yup, but they got their media spin in early yesterday when it didn't look as bad. I wondered what the Mail was saying about the disastrous results- the one article I could find was buried waaaay down the new page under a tidal wave of royal shite.

Or a pleasant surprise in his case, the weird bastard.

39 minutes ago, Total Longo said:Sounds similar to a book i read a few years ago called "The first fifteen lives of Harry August" (but probably not as up itself as that book was).
Ahh, that's the book I was thinking of but couldn't remember. I can only vaguely remember the plot too, so it obviously didn't make much of an impression on me....
The main difference with Life After Life is that Ursula doesn't directly remember what happened in her previous lives, she gets vague premonitions of what to avoid or to do.

Central character is Ursula who dies many times, but is reborn. Realises she is able to change the course of events as a result.
You know what, I’ve really enjoyed this. I was disappointed to realise there are only four episodes.
I was quite taken by Thomasin McKenzie (also in the marvellous JoJo Rabbit) who played Ursula as well.
8/10.
I was at a loose end this afternoon, so binge-watched this- so thanks for the recommendation. Very enjoyable and really well acted and shot, but harrowingly grim at times. The ending was a bit disappointing as it didn't really seem to resolve anything, I suppose the point was you just have to accept your fate at times. A solid 7.5/10.

So, because, "Fuck you!" basically then. People in my area? Getthefuckouttahere! Charge me what I should be charged you robbing motherfuckers.
We had that with Direct Line. We'd been with them for years and always got decent prices, then first the car insurance, and then their home insurance premiums went through the roof, pretty much tripling. Bizarre, so we fucked them off and got much better renewals elsewhere.

Fuck. No wonder Frankie & Benny's have shut so many restaurants down. Not enough though, clearly.

It's the baleful influence of video games again- ban this sick gateway filth.

4 minutes ago, Redder Lurtz said:Seems the FA are going to investigate Richarlison chucking a lit flare into the crowd. I hope the cunt gets a massive ban.
This, though, from the club:
A club spokesperson also added that they will be investigating the matter. They said: 'We will look into the matter but, as far we we are concerned, Richarlison was attempting to throw it out of the ground.'
That's the real game.

1 hour ago, chrisbrand said:Beglin when Pickford did his usual flopping on the floor after catching the ball, “Are you watching, Allison?”
Why the fuck would Allison be watching that?
Christ. I'd imagine if Alisson was watching any football, it'd more likely to be in preparation for the European Cup semi-final. And not, for example, an utter turd of a game between two Russian-financially doped shithouse teams.
My son messaged me at half time to say he was going to get back to writing his essay on the IRA as it was more fun than the game.

Nothing available at the George Square Premier Inn? Stayed there the other week after a gig and it's cheap and cheerful.
