  1. Lovely feeling waking up this morning- still pissed, blinding headache, then remembering that we're fucking league champions and everything was alright. I wouldn't exactly say I bounced out of bed, but it wasn't far off.
  2. One particularly nice thing is that all the public bogs are shut...
  3. Big increases across the US too and Sweden's still chugging along. I won't post this article as it's pretty long, but it gives a good guide to the current state of play- https://www.theguardian.com/world/ng-interactive/2020/jun/25/revealed-data-shows-10-countries-risking-coronavirus-second-wave-as-lockdown-relaxed
  4. I think a (former) programmer at our place wrote that thing's software. He left 4 years ago, and we're still fixing problems he caused.
  5. The shopkeeper in Mr Benn. And the Trumpton fire brigade-
  6. The Covid app is now estimating around 2300 new daily cases, down from 3900 last week and 8K (I think) the week before. Which is nice. Maybe we could start thinking about easing the lockdown in a couple of weeks...
  7. We should have ended our 30 year wait in 1991 but oh no, we had to wait until now because Mo thinks it's the right time.
  8. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53173470 Sharp as a tack is Mo.
  9. Refused permission? Are the Tories copyright holders or something?
  10. Amateurs. Here, our healthcare professionals are far more appreciative of a bunch of hypocrites halfheartedly applauding them once a week, then going back to the Daily Mail to rail against the countries many of them came from, than getting any extra cash. And it's obviously better for teacher morale to piss them off by forcing kids back to school for a pointless few weeks, give them conflicting safety advice and then brief against them to your pet journos- keeps them on their toes. Our drop in GDP is likely to be far higher than yours, and we're brave enough to drop all pretence at a lockdown when we're still getting thousands of new cases a week. Poor show all round, Hungary.
  11. Too much weights, not enough speed work. Useless prick.
  12. Nouveau shite I think is the official genre.
  13. It's usually shown as a double bill with Lovren Actually.
  14. Without wanting to get sucked in to this neverending argument- do you not accept that leaving the EU is going to make things worse for many of the people you purport to care about? And doing so under this particularly vile government is going to be an utter disaster for them and for many others?
  15. Looks like he's too lazy to get properly briefed. Plus he's thick.
  16. I hope they say the same about my upcoming case.
  17. Yes, they also should have locked down a couple of weeks sooner than they did, but dithered and really had their hand forced in the end.
  18. They stupidly discharged patients into care homes too. Apart from that (literally) lethal mistake, the advice has generally been a lot clearer than England, especially since the initial easing of the lockdown, Johnson's ridiculous Sunday broadcast and Cummings acting the cunt. They probably haven't handled it an awful lot better, but I'm pretty sure the population isn't as cynical and confused as down south and so are much more willing to buy into an extended lockdown. At the moment, we're getting fewer infections per week than the UK is usually seeing deaths per day and things won't be significantly eased further until well into July, at which point you'd hope weekly infections would be in low double figures. Nah. Scotland's only a couple of weeks behind, and should be in a much better position to ease it towards normality without setting it all off again and having to go back into lockdown. Handling, tracing and disrupting the 100 or so infections per week that we're getting at the moment will be a lot easier than the thousands per week England are recording. Figures and charts here- https://coronavstats.co.uk/scotland
  19. I got a bit obsessed with some of the mid to late 70s Bowie stuff recently. There are some great live versions of Station to Station knocking around. I also keep waking up with Breaking Glass going round my head.
  20. That's taking ifithadnabinfer and concern trolling to unprecedented heights. Well done to the fella.
