  1. Looks like he's too lazy to get properly briefed. Plus he's thick.
  2. I hope they say the same about my upcoming case.
  3. Yes, they also should have locked down a couple of weeks sooner than they did, but dithered and really had their hand forced in the end.
  4. They stupidly discharged patients into care homes too. Apart from that (literally) lethal mistake, the advice has generally been a lot clearer than England, especially since the initial easing of the lockdown, Johnson's ridiculous Sunday broadcast and Cummings acting the cunt. They probably haven't handled it an awful lot better, but I'm pretty sure the population isn't as cynical and confused as down south and so are much more willing to buy into an extended lockdown. At the moment, we're getting fewer infections per week than the UK is usually seeing deaths per day and things won't be significantly eased further until well into July, at which point you'd hope weekly infections would be in low double figures. Nah. Scotland's only a couple of weeks behind, and should be in a much better position to ease it towards normality without setting it all off again and having to go back into lockdown. Handling, tracing and disrupting the 100 or so infections per week that we're getting at the moment will be a lot easier than the thousands per week England are recording. Figures and charts here- https://coronavstats.co.uk/scotland
  5. I got a bit obsessed with some of the mid to late 70s Bowie stuff recently. There are some great live versions of Station to Station knocking around. I also keep waking up with Breaking Glass going round my head.
  6. That's taking ifithadnabinfer and concern trolling to unprecedented heights. Well done to the fella.
  7. I think we can absolutely guarantee it won't be then, considering all the other game changers have been shite.
  8. Exactly, people have been lied to and told they will be better off as a result of this- Buccaneering Britain, extra money for the NHS etc. You get the odd loon saying they'd be willing to be destitute just to get out from the Brussels yoke, but they don't realise quite how bad it will get, and how the 'elite' they're supposedly socking it to will be making out like bandits rather than sharing the pain.
  9. What an absolute basket case of a country- https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/jun/22/us-coronavirus-spikes-first-wave-not-over
  10. I like those Co-Op varieties, I'll have to keep an eye for those ones as I've not seen them before. Well, my son will as I can't go into shops still.
  11. Doesn't really count though- every team in Europe is going through a transition period, so it was basically the equivalent of winning the Carabao cup.
  12. It's terrible the way these sort of things so uniquely affect them and no one else.
  13. Yep, there are too many useful idiots like Sikora willing to peddle 'good' news with seemingly no basis in science, which makes me feel very wary about any claims like this, regardless of who's making them. If the virus is becoming less deadly, presumably it's mutated so it would have a different genome sequence to before. If that can be verified, then brilliant. Till then, I'm still keeping my head down and my fingers crossed.
  14. I love Jenny. Walkabout and Equus were massive events at school and Logan's Run is the only time I've seen bush on a mainstream channel in the afternoon.
  15. I'd love to see someone do that to Trump, he'd probably get his falsies knocked out.
  16. The number of infections will be a lot higher than that, as the figure's only the ones confirmed by testing. That Covid Zoe app estimated around 4K infections per day at the moment. Also, deaths occur a couple of weeks after the original infection- I'm not sure what the rate was back then, but it was probably at least 8K per day. No idea what evidence they have that the virus is becoming less deadly- I hope it isn't just wishful thinking yet again. As said above, better treatment in less overrun hospitals might be helping.
  17. Ooh, I could do with one of those right now to show my hangover who's boss.
  18. Was just thinking that. The high wage dross like Sigurdsson, Walcott, Delph or Keane aren't going to bring much in. Their 'prospects' like Calvert-Lewin, Davies or Holgate are bang average and unlikely to generate much interest. Unless they want to sell Richarlison, Pickford or Gomes, it's hard to see how they'd get a decent amount, and then they'd need to pay for at least adequate replacements.
  19. Haggis is lovely, and Scotch broth is probably my favourite soup. Can't stand Lorne sausage though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottish_cuisine
  20. Funny how the small government, wannabe strongmen have fucked up so much with this, a crisis that demands people work together for the common good. If it doesn't involve grandstanding against imaginary enemies to divide and conquer or siphoning off tax payers' money to their cronies then they're badly exposed.
