  1. Another problem is that a lot of series don't seem to have much of a shelf life on iPlayer. Unless you catch them fairly close to the original broadcast date, they're unavailable. C4 is much better in this regard, although obviously you have to wade through ads on their All 4 service. I still download stuff from time to time just for the convenience.
  2. I think it's just a suggestion at the moment, but if the infection rate in England stays much higher than it is here then they probably would go ahead. It makes sense, you can't go in to Wales and ignore any additional restrictions there, and visitors from any one country to another would have to follow the local laws and guidance- cf your post here- Johnson's just grandstanding as usual.
  3. Just 3 new infections in Scotland yesterday, and no deaths now for 6 days running.
  4. Yeah sorry, I wasn't having a go at you, I was agreeing.
  5. I really don't understand the problem. Just wear a mask in shops or on public transport and don't get too close to people. It's not exactly onerous.
  6. If that had happened recently to millions of people around the world, then yes, you probably should.
  7. Seriously? You're infectious before you show symptoms and some people don't get symptoms. It's just erring on the side of caution.
  8. https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-contact-tracers-in-england-locked-out-of-accounts-12028196 World beating. The tracers are locked out of their accounts after their passwords expired two months after they started. Presumably there were no notifications to change the passwords and the reset site has crashed.
  9. I ordered a couple of packs of these- https://store.liverpoolfc.com/liverpool-fc-face-coverings-4-pack-liverbird Unfortunately, there isn't a Thommo range for people with massive conks, but I'm sure I'll squeeze into them.
  10. 1% of the US population is about 3.25 million. Their GDP has dropped by over a third. Unemployment has quadrupled in a few months. And that economic pain looks to be for naught as they re-opened way too early and the virus has come roaring back. What good news would you like them to be reporting exactly?
  11. Seems to be- https://heavy.com/news/2020/07/richard-rose-covid-19-coronavirus/
  12. Well, that's just fucking wonderful- https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/jul/12/immunity-to-covid-19-could-be-lost-in-months-uk-study-suggests There better be something in the T cells theory.
  13. Ooh, big goal post shift. Again. I've said nothing about the EU response to the pandemic. However, the EU's trading mechanisms helped keep the UK supplied with goods that people wanted. Brexit will put barriers in the way of that and would very likely have quickly made the situation here extremely difficult. As for the Yanks' working conditions- they're fucking awful. You're outraged at the Leicester clothing factory or the Herefordshire farm? Because of Brexit, we're going to be supplied by the US, whether we like it or not, and their food processing plants are exponentially worse than they are here, both in terms of working conditions and worker exploitation. Yet another Pyrrhic Brexit 'victory'.
  14. It's almost as though people panicked and bought way more than they actually needed. Thank fuck we still had the EU and its ultra-efficient trading in place. Can you imagine the societal breakdown if supermarkets had run out and we had to rely on an isolationist US under a moronic psychopath to fill the shelves?
  15. Ah crap. I really enjoyed the first and what-should-have-been-only series. Just leave it as it is, and let the writers create something new.
  16. I'm pro-chlorinated slaves and chicken labour, it's about time those fowl beasts got off their arses and started earning their coop keep.
  17. Yeah, it's that abstract painting thing at the top of those plastic peaks.
  18. Some hot nurse plays with your balls for ten minutes and you pussies don't bother celebrating?
  19. Quite- in this case it's both, we're getting chlorinated chicken produced by slave labour as a result of Brexit.
  20. Well, we're about to find out what happens when Western farmers don't get subsidised. I hope you like the piquant taste of chlorinated chicken as our entire domestic food industry goes to the wall.
  21. Ha, they've finished 4th just once in the last 30 years, and even that one was by default as we concentrated on the CL. It's some tradition.
  22. Yet again you're conflating national governments being cunts with the EU. Just a heads-up, they'd act like this without the EU. In the case of the UK, we're about to find out just how cunty a government can be with no restraints.
