  4. Liverpool set to move for Arjen Robben after Manchester United show interest By Sportsmail Reporter Last updated at 1:06 PM on 25th August 2009 Comments (0) Add to My Stories Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is believed to have stepped up his interest in Arjen Robben, after reports yesterday suggested Manchester United were keen on the Real Madrid player. The Spaniard has long been an admirer of the winger, and could go head-to-head with his bitter rival Sir Alex Ferguson over the player's signature. The Holland star is out of a favour at Real Madrid and is eyeing a return to the Barclays Premier League. Battleground: Liverpool and United are both keen on adding Robben to their squad The Dutch international is believed to be valued by his club at around £18 million. Manchester United, still yet to spend much of the £80 million received from Real for Cristiano Ronaldo, would have no problem meeting that valuation if they decided it was a fair price. Robben was close to joining United before he signed for Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in 2004 and would provide the speed and goals neither Antonio Valencia nor Nani can offer. 5. Yeah I know, needs stuffing and mounting on a wall.......................
  6. I think the point here is that Sami left because he couldn't be guaranteed the number of games he wanted to play in, irrespective of our current plight, so that line of arguement is codswallop. We have signed a Sami type player, slow but good in the air. Slating Rafa for buying a £1.50 player is daft. yes, we'd have all liked to signed a well known player, but we needed to get a fourth defender in, and there ain't that many out there for change of £2. We brought him for 2 seasons, and not for tonight.
  7. N'Gog to Sheffield on loan?
  8. Stating the bleeding obvious here, but something needs to be done, and something needs to be done now. This is bigger than the now, this is our club, our team - we need it sorting, and we need it now. This is the life blood of Liverpool football club that is being drained from us. Time we stood up and took our club back. The yanks need to be gone, sent packing back over the ocean to their country, back to their sports, and to get the damn out of our club. We've spent too long sat our our hands, time to take your head out of the sand and back the manager. They've had an easy ride recently, thanks to the magic rafa has done, but we need to reclaim Anfield, starting tomorrow night.
  9. Going through one of his periods....................
  10. Tis all a tad boring and repetitive. People need to move on rather than keep dredging up the same old argumentative shite.
  11. Do they really shit in the woods? Discuss......................
  12. someone return this idiot to it's rightful village.
  13. 11.22 Skysports.com understands Liverpool, West Ham and Fulham are all considering bids for Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross, with the Anfield outfit understood to be leading the race for his services. We obviously thought of considering a bid first then. Superb journalism.
  14. 'Kin ell Dave that Cameo autoplay just made the accounts lady in the office drop her coffee on the floor, as she was walking past me desk as I clicked on the thread. Some kunt has turned up me sound. Made me laff, mind. Word, indeed, bluud.
  15. Spanish starlet Daniel Pacheco has extended his contract with the club until June 30, 2012. The former Barcelona striker has yet to make his competitive debut but featured in Rafael Benitez's first team squad during pre-season. He is a regular member of the reserve team squad and is also a Spanish youth international. Meanwhile, striker Craig Lindfield has had his contract at Anfield terminated by mutual consent. The former FA Youth Cup winner spent last season on loan at Accrington Stanley. PACHECO SIGNS NEW DEAL
  16. I now officially can't bat. Face the Bangladeshs' off spin in a 20 over match; batter them all around the ground, but play the Windies in a test match, tfffbfhhhhhhhhh, can't hit a cow with a bangeo. Sorry, that's a lie, I can hit that cow, it's just that it always, always lands in a cow catcher. Very addictive though.
  17. Does Keeley Hawes count, she was sort of there.:inlove:
  18. Not too shabby, managed to score 358 - 4 in a 20 overs match against Bangladesh in easy mode, but got battered by the aussies in my first attempt at the game. Bowling is hard, but can't have everything easy. Brought mine on Friday from Asda for the PS3 - £31 sobs.
  19. I agree with need an additional centre back, but can't really see us splashing huge amounts of money at it, probably 2-3 million, so theoretically, it should leave enough for another attacker.
