I have stood by Rodgers until today. We have flattered so far. Arsenal and Bournemouth both had perfectly good goals ruled out.We have had a moment of class v stoke and a offside goal keeping us looking 'alright'. We havent played well....at all. I have been thinking about this for a while and Heysel and Hillsborough aside, in football terms, 2014 was the worse year to be a Liverpool fan. I still cant really bear to think about the title run in last year. The feeling of hope (and its the hope that kills ya) with the last min pen at Fulham, the home win over city ON my birthday, Naysmith NEARLY scoring for Everton when they had city on the rack. For me 3 things cost us the title. 1 - Carra hangs up boots. If he stays we win it. Simple as that. We wouldnt sign Kolo (who now terrifyingly is our best defender) and then no 2 wouldnt happen. 2 - Kolo GIFTS wba a point by that pass across the box!You have to win games like that to win title. 3 - That Gerrard slip. If he doesnt slip i think he takes out Ba. Yes you could say missing henderson at the end. Not having our best players available when we played city away, and having city and chelsea together so close together at christmas. Sturridge staying on his feet when he coulda had a pen in the loss to Southampton. But for me these are the outstanding 3 reasons. Then to lose it against chelsea. I cant really understand all the fuss about the palace 3-3 draw. It was GONE by then. I didnt even bother to listen/watch. It hurt too much. I still suspect Rodgers had some say in the team going all out to score 6 or 7.Why they didnt shut up at 3-1(GLEN!) we will maybe never know. You really think if we had drawn/won against chelsea we draw that game? No chance. In some ways(stay with me) I was GLAD we drew, as to lose it on goal difference,well thats no way to win and certainly no way to lose a title twice in my lifetime. My hatred of chelsea is now at a all time unhealthy level. I thought it peaked when id a triple on hearts to win the scottish cup, west ham to win playoff, and munich, AT HOME, to win champions league, all on the same day!They fucked that for me. I was wrong.To come to anfield and play like Chelsea did last year...tops it. It was put to me last week if i had a choice as to who'd win the league this year, man u or chelsea i COULDNT ANSWER. I mean thats unthinkable. I still dont know. I know i DO want city to win. I think the THE worse thing that can happen to us,in some ways, is IF we win the league cup(as much as id love to beat chelsea,oh and if FAT frank scores the winner for city against them at stamford bridge...you see...unhealthy...) or FA cup as that would mean Europa League qualification next year. We do NOT need this. We would be better winning the Europa league this year as it gets champions league qualification! Just for the money(alas thats the way the game has gone...) For all the people, Gerrard to slip and give away title (he was the worse player for so many reasons for that to happen to, no least as i KNEW hed just try 30/40 yard shots to redeem himself rather that keep the ball moving etc) and as for the Aspas corner...haunting... Then you have; Suarez leaving Gerrard NOT getting a new contract offer in summer and deciding to go Gerrard being a WALKING BROKEN MAN after a) seeing us AGAIN mount a challenge and rather than pushing on. selling our best player(Suarez and before that Alonso) b)as well as knowing what that slip did Losing Sturridge for so long(and not having a back up!) Signing Balotelli Playing Balotelli Im old enough to remember Thomas scoring in last min in 1989, but 2014 tops this. I cant bring myself to order Dave's book about last season, We go again,but I will and I should soon to exorcise this demon. Im not hopeful, BUT 2015 CANT be worse...it cant be...

I really like the fact that St Brendan is talking up Lucas. Now lets be clear, ive never rated lucas but i think it time for him to step up on sunday. For me, the reason we got nothing against city away(poor offside decision aside) is we were missing Danny s and Stevie G. Stevie is 1 yellow away from missing city at home.We CANT risk it.We just cant.If he removes his shirt(fulham) kicks ball away(everton away few years back) hes missing the biggest game at home since chelsea champion league semi finals.
