So one of the best players in the world becomes shite overnight coz he misses a fuckin pen? By that thinking, does that put Le Tissier in the Messi/Maradona bracket because he never missed one? I always thought Suarez was gonna be proper World Class until he missed that pen v Sunderland & realised he was just shit. Stevie G's efforts for us will forever be tainted after missing from the spot 6 or 7 times, and he was never really truly world class anyway as the pen v Portugal in the world cup proved!

I liked Speed but our nation is turning into nation of professional mourners,whoever it maybe in any walk of life we seem to have silences, shrines etc. We never used to get all this 20 years ago, a simple minutes silence here & there, now we seem to have 1 every other week whenever someones cat dies. And I'm not just onabout football, our nation just loves to mourn.

All these over sensitive, pc people on here, and there are many. Why is it that racism only seems to work 1 way, it's like it's a White trait. You never hear a black person call us White bastards etc? I have, many a time, but we don't take offence by it, soon as black gets mentioned the racism card gets pulled. I worked in a rough part of Brum for 2 years in the mid 90's in a predominantly black building site,and I have to say they were the worse racists I have ever met. I don't like racism in any form, but there's a lot of over sensitive pc correct people on here. What would happen if we had an awards ceremony just for White music, to rival the MOBO's? I'd imagine there'd be uproar.The racism card gets pulled far too much now, were losing sight of what actually is or isn't racist. Why can't we celebrate our culture instead of worrying about other cultures living in our society? Christmas, Easter etc. Because these people are over sensitive & know that in this ridiculous pc world we live in,that as soon as The racist card is pulled people will have to listen. Pisses me right off, as I say I'm no racist but what I will say is that they use the racism card far too much.

I spoke to someone last week who was invited to a meeting to see the new kit, they all had to sign something to say they wouldn't speak about it & they were never or couldn't be told it was a Liverpool kit even tho it had the club badges on! It was just a 'football kit'. Anyway they went on to say that the 1st kit was nice, no badge as such on the chest but an embroidered liverbird like the old 70's kits, there was an eternal flame design on the back, don't know if it was the full crest or just the flame, 2nd kit was quite nice too he said but the 3rd kit was suposef to be awful with some mad design on the sleeves. The fella who told me was a salesman to jjb and he sounded quite genuine. Just passing it on.

Everyone knows someone who's bollocks swelled up the size of a football, I just don't believe it happens that regular. I had mine done about 4 years ago, had a week off work. Had it done on a Sunday & could prob have gone back to work on the Wednesday. It doesn't hurt it's just 'uncomfortable' as someone has mentioned above. I made sure I had a bag of frozen peas on there permanently for a couple of days to keep swelling down & it worked a treat. I had an infection in it too, don't let the scare stories frighten you off.

Listened to a podcast with John Barnes being interviewed by Danny Kelly on a talkshite program called 'My Sporting Life', really enjoyed it, so searched itunes for any likewise legends/ Liverpool greats being interviewed but can't find any. Does or can anyone recommend any decent podcasts like this? Cheers in advance.

I was only a kid at the time, but for any of the older posters, I remember a Ray Kennedy goal v Villa ( I think, may be wrong). Just inside our halve he chips jimmy RIMMER(?)from wide left into the far post, he may have meant a cross to Terry Mac(?) I just remember it being a brilliant goal, altho it was probably nothing like that if I were to ever see it again!

Comfortable, nice to sit back for a 2nd half without biting my fingers off. Only negative for me is the form of Downing, it's been going on for a few weeks now & he doesn't deserve his place in the team on current form,whereas Bellamy does IMO. Enrique is brilliant, Really missed Lucas last week, good to have him back. My love for Luis grows every week, that attempted chip to the far post which he put over the bar, he was so annoyed with himself I was laughing. I like Henderson, but I think it's unfair on the lad putting him out there, would love to see him in the middle. Just hope Carroll can get a run of games to get his confidence back up now, it must have took a bit of a knock after scoring v the blueshite & getting dropped the next week, gotta give him a good run of games now.

Absolutely gorgeous place, got a bit of a Barca feel about it. Brilliant, very laid back place. Summer when I went like, sitting outside in the cafe bars was ace, wouldn't be the same now like. Highly recommended.

I know I shouldn't have started a new thread, but I'm watching the Citeh game at the minute & I have to say I have a totally irrational Fuckin hatred of this moon faced fucker. Not many people in the left in the game who can get me so riled whenever I see them,really really really fuckin can't stand the fat fuckin twattin cunt of a man. the defending in the Prem so far this season has been really bad, Chelsea, Utd, Arse, us, the top sides defences have been weak, thats why City will walk this league. I believe 2nd, 3rd & 4th is up for grabs. The media will have you believe the top 3 are automatic, i'm not so sure. Its gonna be a dogfight for 2nd, 3rd & 4th. We're capable of finishing above Utd & Chelsea.

Why is it that there is no such thing as stoppage time in stoppage time? Time & again you see someone have the physio on in stoppage time & the ref still blows on time. 7 mins added on in the manc game, game stops as Rooney has the physio on for cramp for about 1 minute, nani wasted a few seconds feigning injury whilst he was taking a throw in yet the ref blows up on 97mins & 14 secs, see it all the time, it just promotes time wasting & cheating.

I'm in for a right begging here, but I reckon Kenny has got it wrong tactically. As mentioned above, the midfield isn't giving us enough protection, everyone we have played, maybe the exception of Stoke, teams have had good spells and put us under pressure, therefore the defence under pressure, we are not winning the midfield battle consistently, we have spells as do our opponents, the balance in a midfield 2 isn't right, personally I'd go with 3 in the middle to give us a bit more protection, have stevie in his free role with bellamy & luis either side of Carroll.
