I started there too, so when people kick off about whatever problems here it always seems way less than the stuff that place can end up like sometimes. In fact if half the people saying this place has turned out bad spent a full week there before being able to even look at this site again, it might not seem that bad at all here. Not really meaning Nick either as he'd had a drink, but more people that say it a lot anyway.

Not sure to be honest, but it was rumoured he might've been off before the last season started aswell. Wouldn't be surprised if he stayed and if Xabi did too it was a similar situation in some ways. People have said that Eto'o causes problems with his ego/personality I think, but wouldn't be surprised if it had all been blown up and it's not that different. Maybe like if the manager wanted to do something else then he was free to leave, but if he wanted to stay it was still fine as it was known he was a good player anyway.

Glad if he has, I'd rather have him causing havoc in La Liga for my fave side there than have him doing it for one of the teams we have to play twice next season!

Agreed, and I'm gutted he's going there to be honest. He probably won't score as much but that'll probably be down to him not having the supply he had with Barca. He could be a huge part of turning Man City into a proper team next season though and there's still a lot of the window left for them. And why is it so often that Everton are after the same players as us? Do they find out we're after someone then are like "Right, we're in for him too!" ?

Wow, I knew I went over the top when I posted here but didn't think I'd gone that mad. Had been out until 5am when a bar in town kicked out, then had to walk home for miles after not having enough cash left, and just went insane on the way home and finished with that post before going to bed. I remember walking at least a mile down one road shouting "ball bag!" at every car that passed me and wouldn't give me a lift (even if it was going the other way!) how none stopped and came after me I don't know. I bet yesterdays papers were still full of shit though.

Of all the fucking managers to get this job it's Riley, can't believe it. Webb has many years to go, and if you think he's bad now just wait until more time passes. I think they'll carry on getting better at it, and wouldn't be surprised if they're the next version of us, with ridiculous wages/transfer fees, etc. That could take decades though, if it happens at all. Xabi's goal against SA was amazing too, had some crazy curl on it that.
