  1. I think Ward would have beaten him. Ward was better than Hopkins and Hopkins gave Calzaghe a hard night. He'd have been able to outbox Froch, no doubt about that. But it would have got interesting in the later rounds. He didn't have the power to hurt Froch and he didn't have the tools to nullify Froch like Ward. What a fighter though. He learned a lot from the Reid and Eubank fights. I think his wins over Kessler and Hopkins were his best wins. I didn't rate Lacy.
  2. You're in for a treat, mate. The first 4/5 albums are incredible. The Dio era albums are also good imo.
  3. How did this happen? It must have been the lock down messing with peoples heads. The first minute of the first Sabbath album is better than anything New Order have done.
  4. The whole UAE trip to referee for Man City's owners has fairly been swept under the carpet. It's barely getting a mention, there is no way you would not have some mental fatigue after a trip like that. If that was any of us working on the side abroad, coming back after a long flight and monumentally fucking up in work less than 48 hrs later, we'd probably be sacked. The media have not made much noise about it at all. A team who has 115 charges against them, have referees working for them in their home country. These referees come back and shaft the team who are about to overtake them at the top of the table. The only team probably capable of challenging them this season.
  5. It's disgraceful. You've been saying for years now about how it was headed that way, all for clicks and shit-stirring. Realistically, VAR stopped the officials from stealing 9 points from LFC.
  6. What was a prime Klitschko? Is there a Wlad performance you can name that would beat Fury? Vitali would have smoked Fury, Wlad, I'm not so sure.
  7. I think both were being twats in negotiations. Fury just being the biggest twat. There's a reason we don't get undisputed heavyweight fights.
  8. Usyk has struggled with Chisora and Dubois. I absolutely love Usyk, but the only Fury he beats (imo) is a fat, unmotivated one. I've followed Usyk since he beat Glowacki in Poland. He has picked his battles well so far since he moved up, I knew he could beat AJ as his style was perfect. I just can't see how he stops Fury using his advantages. I hope Usyk gets the Fury fight as he deserves the money.
  9. Thoughts on Gakpo? I think he lacks intensity and aggression so far in his career with us. Is Ali our best ever keeper? Should we sack the domestic cups off this season and concentrate on the league and Europa League?
  10. I didn't need to notice the advertising boards to know it.
  11. He didn't. They mirrored that footage. That one vs Arsenal in the treble season was his right foot.
  12. Ali is incredible isn't he? As you said, apart from his worldie it's hard to remember any of his record number of saves. He makes difficult things routine and very, very rarely spills anything in a dangerous area. He was brilliant in closing down and forcing Longstaff into attempting a difficult finish late on. He was out so quickly. He's the best keeper I've ever seen.
  13. Ryan Hedges scored for Blackburn yesterday. Immediately made me think of this film.
  14. That was unreal wasn't it. Happy for her after what happened her in the mixed relay.
  15. I found the first couple of episodes of every season to be like that. Stick with it, it's an incredible show and right up there with The Sopranos.
  16. I don't think it's the win in isolation, a single punch KO win against Helenius in the 7th is far from a disastrous result. It's his hesitancy and reluctance to commit that is the issue. He's not good enough to make a career transformation like Wlad Klitschko did, in my opinion. I'm not sure what style he's trying to implement at times. As soon as he waits vs Wilder, Wilder is going to unload without care for what's coming back. Joshua is not the best at fighting going backwards either. Joshua really needs to be on the offensive against Wilder and follow his jab up with combos. You are far more knowledgeable than me so you don't need me to tell you that you cannot deter Wilder, regardless of how many rounds you win. I haven't seen anything from Joshua in years to suggest that he's getting into the ring with the mentality that he is going to stop Wilder early. I can't see Joshua making it past 3 rounds. His best hope is that Fury has finished Wilder with those beatings.
  17. That's some time mate, fair play to you.
  18. I met him after the Frampton -Donaire fight. Sound fella. The Kinahan thing never sat right with me though.
  19. You cannot beat Belfast Kev
  20. I really want Loma to school that prick.
  21. I really admire the balls on Loma and Katie. Really rooting for them both, I think both will come up short at the weekend. A win for both would prove their greatness beyond any doubt.
  22. I think I read that the WBC won't sanction Bivol to fight for their belt.
  23. I wouldn't have Yarde as a great fighter mate. He gave a great account of himself tonight all right. He didn't have the nous when he hurt Beterbiev.
