2-0 Dortmund.

Dortmund winning in the Bernabeu.
They’ll have to win at Anfield to make places 9-24 at this rate.

Yeah I'm not making any definitive judgements on it and as I said in the report, this is a me problem as there is no right or wrong way to win games. I just prefer seeing us on the front foot than playing the way we did on Sunday.
I said in the Slot thread after the Palace game that we’re not really seeing any attacking passages of play, like ones you can tell we’ve worked on. We seem to be leaving it to the talented players we have to, I don’t want to say bail us out because that’s not true, but to act more on impulse to get the goals, rather than strategy.
I’m sure Feyenord had one of the highest turnovers in the last third until Slot, we’ve not really seen it for us yet.I’m happy we’re winning, there definitely feels something missing. Like you say, it could just be down to fact it’s different to watch we’ve watched in the last 9 years…

I doubt Frank Lucas would be impressed either. -
Seems it’s already above.

Sounds like there has been some leaked WhatsApps over the takeover which indicates more pressure from the Government and Crown to put pressure on the PL to allow the takeover.
Not seen the article yet.

My Dad played for a bit. He got annoyed that the players didn’t play the possession based football he advocates and said that if somebody went into a jog, they weren’t penalised, so he gave it up.

Tora is.
Tora tora tora isn't. Was short for a codeword - no tigers involved.
Tora Tora Man Utd? -
Might just be my lofty seat from the back for the Kop, it didn’t look like their supporters clapped during the minutes applause?

Anyone see that podcast bit he does on Sunday after the match?
Apparently we're doing well to get good performances out of average midfielders, or words to that point.
I think he was convinced we’d have a drop off after Klopp and we’d go back to being in the scrap for CL places.
It still might turn out that way, he’s gutted it not happening straight away.

Aaron Ramsey on MNF is a poor pundit.
ERRRRRRMMMMMM…

Interesting to see what we’ll do here.
You’d assume Mac Allister will come back in, but for who? It would be harsh on Jones. Gravenberch and Szoboszlai both played the majority of their nations international games, I think we’ll need Gravenberch ability to turn under pressure & break up play and Szoboszlai’s running ability.
Tsmiskas has been starting the CL games so far, so he could play.
Similar Gakpo as well, I could see him continuing to play and Diaz coming back in on Sunday.
Hopefully Nunez starts, plays well, scores and takes that into Sunday.
This will be a tough game, these are a good side. They are level with Bayern at the top of the Bundesliga. Sesko, Simons & Openda (who is incredibly fast) will be a threat. Given we were linked with him in the summer, I’ll be interested to see how Lukeba plays.
Win this and it takes a bit of the pressure off the Leverkusen & Madrid games, lose and we’ll likely have to win one of those matches to finish in the top 8.
Just. Fucking. Win.

We took our chances, they didn’t.
I thought Chelsea looked a decent side.
The “Fuck off Chelsea FC” song needs binning. Since we started it, they’ve won the lot (so have we like…), where was the “Allez Allez Allez” driving us on?
Anyway, onwards & upwards…

Any chance this might be postponed due to travel disruption ? Late kick off doesn't help think storm gathering later on. Some on the ground reporting would be appreciated .
No. -

Both him and Rice came out in a completely different direction than normal. Arteta has had them pulling all of this shithouse stuff for a long time. It’s turned on them now though. The refs aren’t falling for it as much. All the moaning about Rice kicking it away ignored the fact that they’re at this stuff constantly and more than anyone else. It’s clearly encouraged by the manager.
Although technically the right decision, I didn't like the Rice red card, it was about as far away from goal as you could get, it didn't seem in the spirit of the game to me.
The Trossard red and last night, they can have no complaints.
If it had been Havertz pulled down in the same way Evanilson had been last night, they'd have been moaning like fuck had a red not been given.

They're one point behind top, it's definitely over for them.
Hopefully 4 points come tomorrow evening and 7 points next Sunday evening. It’s a shame City have a couple of bankers playing Wolves & Southampton.

Just reading Arteta’s comments after the game, he didn’t seem to question the red card, did he?

2-0 to the referee… What a set of wankers.
